    Color maters now

Have you guys noticed that the stats on a Colored piece of gear are different than the stats on an un-colored piece of gear. (seems to be add some stats for more restrictions on who can use the gear).

I noticed that the colored recipes utilize the initial base gear that's been crafted already, so I guess that makes sense.

    For ex: http://lodestone.finalfantasyxiv.com...assId=&rankId=

"You don't stop playing when you get old, you get old when you stop playing!"

Punctuation is your friend. It deliniates the difference between "Let's eat, Grandma!" and "Let's eat Grandma!"

No ones updated their gear stats on websites and wikis :/ I would love to just pore through the gear right now in a list to see what's up, and didn't feel like loggin on just to do it haha

I'd still like to experiment a bit, but yes, coloring items does change its stats from the base item and can also add class restrictions.

For example, Felt Halfgloves are usable by all classes, but Red Felt Halfgloves are only usable by DoH.

And like any other crafting process, when coloring you can start with an HQ base item and very likely not end up with an HQ colored item. ><

How is that? Because I thought if you used all HQ items, you get an HQ item.

Nope. Using all HQ items just helps your 'chances'. It doesn't guarantee an HQ. So you have to try to HQ it all over again.

It is a bit odd, I wonder if its even working as intended.

I really dont' like this dying system anyway, you shouldn't have a chance of loss on something as basic as dying an item. (at least not when the item is already 100%)

Geez, really? Isn't the entire purpose of colouring items supposed to be a purely aesthetic option? Adding restrictions (either direct or indirect) based on colour seems to defeat the entire purpose of having different coloured versions of the same item to begin with.
