    I really don't like the new dying system much at all. One of the few positives is that it takes up less inventory clutter by not having to have stacks of every color of the rainbow in numerous material types. I do like the idea of all purpose dye colors very much! That needed a change, but this current process for coloring gear is not helpful.

    I don't like that gear that used to have a lot more variety in color is now limited to fewer colors. I also don't like that pink seems to have vanished.

    I don't like that uncolored gear is of poorer quality (based on stats). What if someone prefers the undyed look? Color should provide an aesthetic appeal, not stats. The stats should be on the base item itself.

    I don't like that once you make a dyed version of an item, that item is suddenly only useful to certain classes. One example: Suddenly my red velveteen sash no longer provides any stats beyond defense - and this is an item crafted out of cloth by a weaver. Why oh why can a weaver not get any benefit from this item? (But other crafts can).

    I also don't like that dye just drops out of the rocks now. The previous process was too complicated, the new process just doesn't make sense.

    In my ideal set up, dying would be as follows:

    1) Dye material is gathered from gathering classes
    2) Dye is created from that raw material into dye by an alchemist
    3) A crafter synths a piece of gear suitable for dying
    4) A crafter uses a bottle of dye to cosmetically color the gear OR a player can purchase a bottle of dye and bring the dye + gear to an NPC who can perform a colorization of the gear.
    5) Dying would be much like the current repair process - a player puts a piece of gear up in the bazaar, along with either the dye or an offer for payment, and an alchemist can dye the gear using the same type of menu. No potential loss of gear, but the attempt could fail, resulting in the loss of dye.
    6) Once gear has been dyed, it is permanent. Items that have had dye added can be sold/traded/bazaared in the current colored form.

    I think dyes should have remained a player crafted item, not something available only as a drop.
