yup 24/240, Umbrite is definitely the problem. it's so boring to just grind Esos, not going to do it, i'll get it when i get it.I am up to 27 points on my relic and not once have I gotten anything more than 3.
How hilarious that the developers make all these ways to obtain crystal sand, but then make an extra item requirement (umbrite) to upgrade one sand. So before the patch, they preach they listened to us and added a wide variety of ways to obtain the sand, which is great. Then they completely negate all of that with umbrite, in which the only way you can get it unless someone corrects me, is 300 eso per. Seriously, what is this? You made this a really tiring grind...
Oh I don't have the Brute Leeches, but I have the Goblin Jig which can also get the Illuminati Perch. I have gotten them before.Illuminati perch, use patience (not patience II), medium tug and powerful hookset. Bait is brute leeches. You can get the scrips very quickly and easily this way, but you do have to keep buying some more brute leeches from time to time from the scrips themselves. Small tug and large tug, dont use a hookset, just reel it in normally and hope the fish gets away to avoid the long catch animation.
Though what are the requirement stats to get this Fish? I feel like I always lose a fish sometimes and I wish higher stats equals easier time catching and going over the limit means a 100% catch rate instead of a stat cap.
Not 100% sure about stats needed. But if you can get then, get 829+ collectability on a few of them, trade them in for blue scrips, use them for brute leeches, then go catch more. Brute leeches have a higher catch rate.Oh I don't have the Brute Leeches, but I have the Goblin Jig which can also get the Illuminati Perch. I have gotten them before.

I've not had too much trouble catching them even as low as 475 gathering, 411 perception. I'll lose one every now and then, and it's rare that an NQ will have sufficient collectability to turn in for blue scrips, but the HQ always have enough.Oh I don't have the Brute Leeches, but I have the Goblin Jig which can also get the Illuminati Perch. Not really the point. They preached on how many ways you can approach the content, but it is for the item that is ridiculously easy to get. The only real grinding part of this is umbrite. This is where variety needed to be placed. Could of balanced it to work with that. The point is they need to have you engaging multiple content for umbrite, not just sands.
They almost did a good job with this part of the relic quest. They screwed up with the umbrite. Stop with the tome grinds already! Persoanlly, I'm going to go with the blue scrip and desynth route.
12/80 umbrite. 80/80 Crystal sand. Hoping to be done in 5 days with two friends.
They really should add more ways to get Umbrite...
Right now sitting at 30/240. @_@
