I think the best way is starting with the retainers. Look what you have from the items on the list and what you don't need anymore (like element materia IV).

i basically skipped all vanilla content so i haven't any of those items so i still don't know where to start.

Another question is how you get umbrite?

15/240 Growth Stats

I could possibly get to 18/240 at the moment but I am in need of Eso Tomes to continue. I like this step so far, not too crazy like the i210 and with way more fun ways to obtaining items to get sand. Though farming for 24,000 Eso Tomes for 80 Ores you need is not fun if you plan to get all of the Anima Weapons for every class.

You're using Fisher to get the Blue Scrip Letters for Sand? Any good fish to be on the look out for, for the Gathering Blue Scrips?

Illuminati perch, use patience (not patience II), medium tug and powerful hookset. Bait is brute leeches. You can get the scrips very quickly and easily this way, but you do have to keep buying some more brute leeches from time to time from the scrips themselves. Small tug and large tug, dont use a hookset, just reel it in normally and hope the fish gets away to avoid the long catch animation.

Though what are the requirement stats to get this Fish? I feel like I always lose a fish sometimes and I wish higher stats equals easier time catching and going over the limit means a 100% catch rate instead of a stat cap.

Not 100% sure about stats needed. But if you can get then, get 829+ collectability on a few of them, trade them in for blue scrips, use them for brute leeches, then go catch more. Brute leeches have a higher catch rate.

I've not had too much trouble catching them even as low as 475 gathering, 411 perception. I'll lose one every now and then, and it's rare that an NQ will have sufficient collectability to turn in for blue scrips, but the HQ always have enough.

22/240. I basically emptied my retainers of old glamour crap and bought a load of Moonstones. I have a crap tonne of IV materia as I kept doing beastribe dailes even after I finished the 210 step. I'll either trust in RNG and attempt to exchange them all for elemental materia with Bubblepots or just sell them on the MB and buy the materia directly.

Buying things with Poetcis (Superior Enchanted Ink and Thavnarian Mist). It seems to be the cheapest way for I change for Crystal Sand. Perhaps in 2 or 3 months I finish xD

Sometimes trying have luck with Amber-encased Vilekin. I read about to be potential reward from levequest Needs More Fervor (L) and possible reward from treasure chest found during any level 50+ battle levequest.
