Yeah, the fact that this is a Mentor reward is really stupid.

People in my Linkshells are already spamming Mentor roulette on unpopular languages to farm it because they don't want to deal with new people.

I might have had a little cry when I found out this was for mentors only :'( I'm only on about 200 dungeons out of the 1000 I need for mentor anyway... and have to get tank to 60... and then 2000 roulettes... maybe in 5 years then!? Am sad kitten.

I do the mentor roulette when I get some free time, but due to it's unpredictableness I've only got round to doing it 36 times since it came out (you could get a short guildhest, you could get a synced extreme primal that could take tons attempts before it falls apart/doesn't even count). Usually if I have an hour to spend I'll give it a try and if I get something really short (guildhest) I'll usually just requeue and do another... except I always seem to regret that and end up in something like Titan Extreme and synced to 50

Like the other roulettes you only get the "reward" once per day (10 lore and a small amount of eso that I can't remember), which is fine, it's not supposed to be a massive boost and the main reason for the whole mentor system is to help people through content... but I hope I don't sound too ungrateful when I say that my time is also important to me too. I'm sure I'm not the only one who works/does things outside the game and also has other stuff they want to get done in the game each week (capping lore, farming red scripts for crafting and gathering and getting the Alexander drops for example all have weekly limits so for me they are a priority) and running the mentor roulette repeatedly is more of a "would like to" than an actual possibility.

I do appreciate that the new mount is a (very) long term reward, but 2000 (successful) runs at one per day (with the 10 lore bonus etc so you at least get something for giving up your time) is just under 5 and a half... YEARS.

Obviously like most people I want that mount, but then if I start trying to do it 5 or 6 times every day (to bring it down to a year lol) I'm really only going to be running it for that mount more than anything else. Is that really what the system needs? Tons of people just trying to burn content as fast as possible when they are likely queued up with people who are new/want to go slow/enjoy it etc? :S

I think I'll just have to ignore the mount and do the roulette when I can as I currently do and one day in 2030 perhaps get a surprise reward.

I don't mind that is is locked behind DR Mentor. Most people who try to farm for it that have no interest in actually helping people will burn out soon enough due to the frequency of 2.X EX primals that pops up.

I've had this happen once out of 50 something runs. People immediately left before it even begun, and once it was clear it wasn't getting anywhere, I did too. It's not a huge deal to end up in one, and the list of duties is immense so it isn't actually all that likely. I get guildhests most of the time.

I think they have their content backwards. Can get end game gear in a week or less yet getting a glamour mount takes 5 and a half years..loool

Uh... You get daily rewards.

But you can do the Mentor Roulette as many times as you want to get those clears up.

Remember, 10 clears a day for Mentor Roulette for 200 days will get you that mount.

Or 5 clears for 400 days.

Depends on how you want to divvy it up.

I'll admit I am disappointed that you have to do 2000 mentor roulettes because I've only ever done like only 2 runs since becoming a mentor. It's going to take a long time to get it that is for sure. D: I haven't done many mentor roulettes, because I'm not the best at explaining fights especially extremes.

Consider yourself lucky then. On average lately, I get a 2.X EX primal roughly 15% of the time. There are some days where I go into DR: Mentor and I get an EX primal 4 runs in a row. I also stick through each of them until we clear the trial, time runs out, or a vote abandon passes.

I too was disappointed, not only with how large a grind it is, but how it's inevitably going to affect (or already affecting, judging by Selli's post) mentor roulette. I was discussing this with a friend days ago about how they themselves wanted to keep the rewards "small" to "to reduce the number of players who may become mentors purely to get their hands on rewards", and we both did not expect they would place such a unique mount behind it. A mount, sure, but a majestic armored horse that would inarguably appeal to many players, I would not exactly call that "small" by any means. To that, it feels like a 180 to those prior sentiments.

Will I still do a mentor roulette everyday? Probably, yes. As I do enjoy helping legitimate new adventure who are receptive to such help. But grinding 5-6 roulettes a day toward a goal of 2,000 and dealing with players who are intolerable to you and your aid JUST because the roulette turns on that little crown icon multiple times a day? No thank you.

I also hate to be one of those players but...I'm actually hoping (maybe encouraging) SE to make a lazy recolor/text of it obtainable through other means later for once. Of course not all achievement mounts have recolors, but the 3k commendation mount now has two "alternatives" counting its predecessor from the PS4 collectors edition. I don't expect others to agree but, eh.
