I'm invoking "pics or it didn't happen" here.ANother highlight of last night was when we went to go gank Barometz (however you spell it) and since I love the instant cast on AM now I set Flare and used it, and it made this huge explosion and everyone was like "wtf was that!?" "oh that was flare" "...I'm switching to CON now" lolololol
I'll need to go back and do it. I noticed it only look huge on this particular one though, might have to do with how proportioned seedkin are. Like, when I casted it on Nest commander it wasn't nearly as big.
What an awesome patch! Love everything. <3 Finally, mobs link! Shposhae is sooo much fun with it (we were GLA and ARC lvl 20). Saw a few lvl 50 going there, too. Man, how boring. lol Guess that's what you get for leveling all classes to 50. ^^'

No, I'm stuck with the weathered stuffs unfortunately. I have 20k gil. How am I supposed to afford to buy a new weapon and full set of gear every few levels this early? All is well until I have to fight a pack of three mobs, and then it's just rape. I leveled all of the battlecraft and spellcraft jobs to 10 and my Lancer, the guy who I'm doing the leves on, gets smashed.

Do you think that's the wrong thing to ask for? The economy will stabilize soon enough, before that it might be tough but that's something you need to deal with. They essentially restarted the economy, and its wheels do not start turning immediately after you hit level 10.No, I'm stuck with the weathered stuffs unfortunately. I have 20k gil. The fact is that you should be required to update your equipment every few levels. Whether that's impossible in the current economy or not is another matter altogether.

No, I don't think that's unreasonable at all. The fact is that the population is low, and there's not many new players coming in, so gear in the lower levels is harder to come by, and from what I've seen pretty damn expensive. I could buy a new lance and maybe another piece of equipment and I'd be broke. So what are my options? Farm for gear at level 11 that I'll replace shortly thereafter. Maybe I'm just lazy, but I really don't like the idea of farming for hours after my first day of playing. What kind of first impression is that? I get owned in rank 10 leves at rank 11, and my only option is to buy new gear that I either can't find or can't afford.
Low level gear should be easily accessible and common.
Maybe on Selbina, but I've seen quite a number of new low-level players (both returning and real brand new) in the past week on Wutai.
We're in the middle of an economic sea change here. You will see the effects within a couple weeks if you stick with it.
oh, i thought we were playing an mmo.Pros
Cheaper Repair
Chocobo
Airship
Exp Chains ?
Cons
Downtime
Slow Healing
No survivability
SLOW LEVELING
So basically if we aren't partying leveling will now take 2-3x as long? you do about 1/4th the damage you used to do, have half the health, can barely take on a monster that is 2-3 ranks above you, and the exp isn't increased for monsters your own level. But let's not forget the exp chain! Which you can't use since fighting just one guy your level will leave you with half health or less. This patch is garbage, who (prolly nobody) tested this patch before they released it? was this to force you to be in parties?
With the recent recipe revamp, just get all crafts (cept cooking) to rank 10 and you'll be able to make some low ranked gear really easily. I did that when I first started playing.
