What's dead just let it die. People are mass leaving zalera btw so don't sugar coat it.

Why are you being so rude to people on the forums of this "just a game" for the sole reason that they wish to be able to use the features that SE implements that they pay their subs for? Just because you are happy with the current system doesn't mean everyone has to be. Also doesn't mean they are "QQ'ing" just because their opinion is opposite of yours.
Housing is supposed to be a fun simulation addition to any game for players to create something for themselves to enjoy with design and creativity. It isn't a savage raid progression static. It's not like they are, in your words, "QQ'ing" over not getting raid gear without putting the effort in.
A lot of players have the gil to afford at least a small house for themselves, but the server patch day bum rush does not guarantee that they will be able to get one which is a problem; they did the work of getting the gil but it might not help them much in the end. So they are of course worried and sad that again they may not get to enjoy the content that they would like to enjoy. They are paying to support this game just like the rest of us.
Moving servers costs IRL money which is just not a good option in order to get a house. A lot of players have many good friends on their servers and they should give them up just to get a house? Its a bad solution in my opinion. I mean most people who really want a house want it to share with friends also.
Why would you not have some compassion for fellow players who just want to enjoy what others get to enjoy. It's supposed to be casual content imo.
If you don't have the time to make time for you something you supposedly enjoy and are against people who do have that time, what do you expect?
Taking time off work for a game sounds absurd but if you want something enough, you will work for it on the game just like anything else in the world.
I agree with the previous poster, it's your fault or responsibility for choosing a world with a larger population and therefore you inherit it's problems.
I think it's entirely SE's fault for pricing it lower when it should be higher. Any new level 50-60 can afford a small house without much game play and leave it hanging for X amount of time. Mediums will take a week or two and I doubt housing development can catch up with the amount of people leveling/ earning money.
Well I guess at least the apartments will be flooded more actively...

What they need to do is flat out say that re-selling housing is a violations to the ToS. I am tired of players owning an entire neighborhood full of empty plots just so they can prey on the desperate FC's and players who are houseless.
Shes been bragging about trolling people on high pop servers in a zalera group. Why are you being so rude to people on the forums of this "just a game" for the sole reason that they wish to be able to use the features that SE implements that they pay their subs for? Another issue of high pop servers is players buying multiple houses. Essentially denying others of houses just so they can own many houses. While this certainly happens even on low pop servers like Zalera, you won't see it as such a strain there. A high pop server is a choice with consequences. SE is working on making housing better (something people tend to overlook, even on threads like this), but what Birdy is true. This is the case in WoW as well. High pop = greater competition in almost everything. Although it does generally mean greater opportunity, I know server players who went to high pop servers and were aghast at the difficulty of settling in. Just like living in a city, it's hard meet people when surrounded by a tide of humanity. That's why I'm content with having a community instead of a tidal wave of players.
OK since you don't know much about server history. look for players with the last name Caitsith then look for what server they are generally on. A portion of Balmung population predates 14 by almost a decade.
The company you defend fails to permanently lock the server down. Also takes cash for themselves allowing bypass of what little lockout the server does have.
People don't know how to take criticism anymore, and bad play is rewarded with with a coddling mentality. Yes, this is a casual game for the most part - that doesn't mean people need to walk on eggshells in fear of getting reported for pointing out things. This whole 'please don't say anything even slightly negative' mentality that we seem to be going towards and the devs seemingly pushing towards it is creating a disturbing trend.
Agree with this. Housing is soooo borked in this game that I've resigned to never owning one.
It's not that I don't want one; it's that I refuse to RMT to be able to afford one.
It would be good if they added instanced housing at least (similar to inn rooms - as in free or cheap - but decorate-able), so as to store all our decos and stuff. But since they aren't, I'm selling off all my rare decos, since my retainers are almost full with other more useful stuff.
Housing is so much of a moving target that I cant be bothered to care anymore.

They should just ban them like half a year for selling houses and if you want to legit relinquish a house, 50% money back. So that pple actually think before they buy
A little bit like getting your downpayment bk in RL lol
