High Resolution UI Settings has been added under Display Settings in the System Configuration interface. Players using monitors set to higher resolutions can use this option to adjust their UI to the following sizes:

    150% (Full HD) - 1750x984 or higher
    200% (4K) - 2790x1570 or higher

That was the 4K update. Please look forward to it.

This game currently does have 4k resolution ive ran this game in 4k on my Alienware Laptop Looks awesome problem is was only getting around 20FPS so cant play it that way. Would need multiple GPU's to get it to 60FPS or above. Game however for me runs at 70FPS in 1920X1080

Before I made purchase on my new GTX 1080 I ran this game at 4k many times on my GTX 980. True it wasn't solid 60fps on max but with some tweeks here and there I managed a strong 55fps. Now with the GTX1080 I see mostly 60FPS while in instances and in town outside world stuff it might dip between 44 and 60fps. I have the game locked on 60fps but when I do not and I am running 2560 x 1440p I can get 150fps constantly well most of the time. I see 4k as a challenge but not game over. SE has been talking about doing 4k since 2013.

I know besides the scaling there are other plans that have already been announced I just can't find the notes at this moment but I will keep looking. My 2 recent benchmarks at 4k. 1st was MAX and 2nd was with AA and OC turned off. I run ASUS ROG G20AJ using a gtx 1080 gpu , core i7 4790 cpu , 16GB Corsair ddr3 16000 cas9 memory using a Samsung EVO PRO SSD 500GB.

We’ve been receiving comments from players who have high-spec PCs and 4K displays mentioning that the UI is too small. We'll be addressing this over multiple patches.

And that was all we were given from what I can see. There was another reference to patch 3.2 which we did get scaling but this sentence above made it sound like multiple 4k updates across more than one patch.

I'm still waiting for Eyefinity support in DX11.

I'm the same, playing full screen windowed with it without bezel adjustment and with the low res just isn't the same as full support

Like with DX11, they can make it client side and just don't give every client that update, but only those who can work with it.
Resolutions sure, textures no as long as ps3 support exists(can't client side this that I know of).

Technology and progress...keep pushing the envelope on hardware and software, do you want to play in 1080 forever?...what if 4k could lead to something much better visual quality wise years from now, not many people may be using it as of now...but a few years down the line when 4k monitors and other hardware becomes more affordable.
