Please bring back "Equipment Favors", abolish Equipment Requirements for craftables

Seriously.

I was wanting to wear my Cobalt plate armor with my Lancer, because I am NOT a fan of the current high-level scale mail. The level/class requirement is a big eff-you to the player that wants to be able to wear items as vanity equipment as opposed to actual functional gear. I mean, as a Lv50 LNC, I can't wear Red Cobalt Gauntlets and Sabatons to match my Limsan Soldier's Overcoat, because of the class requirement. The result is that I have to wear crappy, old Dated Iron armor in the meantime. >:|

Yoshi-P, please abolish class requirements for non-unique player-crafted equipment, especially armor. I do not like the idea of armor being another "identifying factor" of classes, like they are in FFXI. I very much liked the ability to mix and match my armor, regardless of which class it favored, to my aesthetic tastes prior to these changes.

P.S. I looked through the data for the new equipment that allows LNC to equip, and I noticed something VERY glaring...No Lv49 or Lv50 armor that favors LNC! It's all 47 or under...(and they don't look as good as the plate armor, either) WHAT THE HELL, YOSHI-P. YOU GOT SOMETHING AGAINST LANCER OR SOMETHING!??!

I like required armor, gives you something to work towards. Doesn't really matter anyways since you can level up so quickly now. I got from 45-47 in 3 hours.

You're missing the point. As a roleplayer, I want to be able to fully customize my character appropriately. Here's an example: Yda, the character you encounter in the Gridania storyline arc, is a Pugilist and she's wearing a pair of plate sabatons.

Because of these class requirements, we can't diversify our looks like that anymore, and that makes Feral a sad kitty. A very, very sad kitty.

In fact, this is likely going to be the one reason why I will never dispose of my Dated equipment, because that equipment allows me to wear it anytime, with any class I choose, of my own making. Much to the chagrin of the designers of the new recipes, I'm sure.

I demand the ability to Roleplay as Nemeroth, he's a great guy I even named my Chocobo after him so I can summon him whenever I want (without consequences of a full scale Planetary Invasion >_>). He's a freaking Chaos Undivided Sorcerer in Terminator Armour who ascended into Daemon Princehood, it's like a THM who can Rebirth and Curaga while Multishot in Sentinel Plate Armour!

They're not very sandbox-minded, are they? I prefer to be able to dictate how I present my character, instead of being forced every inch of the way, to conform to a particular standard.

Honestly, after realizing this, I am starting to wish they'd at least left Tanaka in charge of the aspect involving equipment, because then we wouldn't have equipment requirements, but rather equipment that favors a particular level and class.

What also annoys me is that I wrote a backstory for Feral that places her history at Ishgard, a city where they have dragoons, wielding lances, in f*cking PLATE ARMOR. And because of the new requirements, I can't be allowed to dress the same!? Why are there still NPCs that flout these rules?
