To be fair, to me exploration IS a reward... love wandering around new maps...Special items... Why couldn't they put this much effort into Diadem?
I really shouldn't get my hopes up, but this is shaping up nicely so far... At least it is far more accessible than Diadem, so we'll actually be able to do it regularly regardless of how it turns out...
My only concern at this point is probably the rewards... Gameplay and exploration look great, but rewards are where XIV always falls flat for me...

Clearly, the best Final Fantasy character is Locke Cole.
Glamour is TRUE ENDGAME

They've called Palace of the Dead a Deep Dungeon since it was announced.
I've taken it as they may introduce other Deep Dungeons later on. As in it's a style of dungeon that will have many different places.

this first one takes place under buscan druthers right? that crater with a ladder i always wondered what significance it had? Theres a cave in lanoscea too with a titled area but its right on the outskirts but is named and you cant enter either, probably be another location some day?
hope we arent FORCED to wear AF gear .... even if is just visual ¬¬
like every1 i dont want to be hyped , dont let me down this time SE! please!
Yep. The place south of there. Issom-Har.this first one takes place under buscan druthers right? that crater with a ladder i always wondered what significance it had? My concern is that it'll be like Chocobo Racing... I enjoy Chocobo Racing, but it is a complete side activity, there is no progression in the game as a whole for doing it...
It's not that much of an issue, since we can enter solo regardless, but... IDK, it feels like a shame to me... To me, this very much feels like something that should be at the core of the game, not something off to the side... Like Nyzul Isle, I'd like to be doing this for progression, rather than just for fun, but XIVs progression is whack anyway... Hopefully it at least has tomestones, then like PvP before it, this can replace dungeons for me... This really feels worth the lost of one dungeon so far, this is exactly what dungeons should be like IMO...

I just hope this is another incentive for rewards as it stands we have Midas Savage and Void Ark + our Dungeons now if we get good gear out of here then it'll imbalance raids but we also need another place with a new setting, exploration and something that is just new. Doing Midas Normal and then Savage back to back every week burns me out by the weekend then I just go out and do other things rather than play this sometimes maybe I'll have more incentives to farm Palace of the Dead for days on days! I am really hyped just....don't wanna be dissapointed.
Liking the look so far, with just main weapon & armor it reminds me of FF1-3 days (which if I remember thats all they had for equipable gear save the 1-2 acessory slots) so... yah holding back my hype for this is like "a pervert holding a door with no handle against an army of perv's in almost any anime"... must endure... can't let the hype win... gota protect the changing hot babes... but I wanna turn around 'smack by good side, but you can't'
