It would, but then you get the idiots who will ask "We gave up a dungeon for THIS?" or otherwise claim that new races would get in the way of content

You should hear the World of Warcraft developer excuses.

"We could give you X, but that would cost you a raid tier."

Sad part is, that one is used as both a joke and actual excuse.
