Understandable. I done neither DRG or SCH, but if I ever want to read the lore related to the characters, that's why we got the internet!Well, I haven't done any of the DRG quests lol. So I guess I haven't seen every facet to his character. Which may be intention from the devs? Hard to say. I guess ultimately I never formed a bond with him, I never related to him. From what I was presented via how I played the story, he's just some tight-wound, over-zealous, cynical jerk who happens to be good with a spear.
I guess SE does do that a bit now that I think about it, hides lore in pockets so that not everyone is presented with the same information. Like with WP HM, unless you were particularly invested in the SCH questline, people probably did not care one way or the other about tonberries being enslaved, and why would they? You only learn what tonberries actually are through the SCH quests.
My predictions: ^^;
Alphinaud makes a plan to resolve matters diplomatically and to save everyone!
Diplomacy fails
Aymeric enrages Hraesvelgr and we head to Sohr Khai
Hraesvelgr dies, in cutscene by Aymeric's hand
Nidhogg brings the battle back to Ishguard
Alphinaud chats with the Sultana, the Seedseer and the Admiral
Lucia dies, by Nidhogg's hand
We enter the Final Steps of Faith
Nidhogg dies
Estinien is saved but the eyes still linger
Estinien dies
The Ascians show up
We follow the Ascians to Azyz Lla
The Ascians free Tiamat but she says she doesnt want to get involved
The Ascians kill Tiamat and revive her as a warped primal
The Garleans show up
Lord Lolorito shows up
For someone whos chaotic evil such as my self, I hope we get to choose on if we save or kill, I would kill him just for the sake of killing him muahahaha. *cough*
When you see someones glamour with non matching boots
Well Estinien was about to live that life by becoming a guardian of Nidhogg eyes and taking it far away from Ishgard so no one can abuse their powers anymore thus giving Ishgard and Dravania a chance of Peace and end the Dragonsong war until Nidhogg decided a big Nope and took over Estinien's body so he can continue his revenge against Ishgard.
Heck you could even see he was developing that Love Hate relationship with Ysayle in the storyline and on her death he even says a good bye to her. That final moment in 3.0 before he lost his control over his body was a act of honoring Ysayle and at the same time was going to be his final duty to Ishgard which would have been a nice send off to Estinien as his retirement from the storyiine if it had gone as he planned.

All of these people have to suffer and die... because of one woman had sex with a dragon.
No no no, that's not the reason.
It all started because two different sides/races were fighting over land-Corethas. Dragons were there first, and Elezen be like, "Ey, move out of the way, we're settling here from now on." while the dragons say, "Hell no! We found the land first, y'all invading our territory!! X[" BOOM! War.
In the midst of war, Shiva met Hraesvelgr, they fell in love, and yeah..there was peace for a good while until King Thordan and his knights had to f*** it all up...
[super inactive on this Forum LOL]
Considering that dragons are asexual and forge relationships based purely on mental connections, as well as the... absolute nope surrounding that particular notion, I always thought the "lay down with a dragon" line was propaganda from the church to further sully Shiva's name.
I knew that. I was just wanting to see how the person was going to justify the claim considering the absolute nope surrounding it.Considering that dragons are asexual and forge relationships based purely on mental connections, as well as the... absolute nope surrounding that particular notion, I always thought the "lay down with a dragon" line was propaganda from the church to further sully Shiva's name.
