I would take the books any day compared to this!

Hell no! did peoples frogot that you needed 1500 tomes x9 for each book and only sufficient way was to spam mythflox nonstop, after that crap you actually had to do that book that easily could take whole day if you were unlucky with FATE's. Book part was and still is the crappiest step in original relic.

I'm currently 19 items away from my first relic. I passed on it when it first released, and with the announcement of the stat assignment I decided to get it just incase it can beat the raid weapon.

I should hopefully have it in a week.

See for me I would take those books because it tells me exactly what I had to do in any books. This 200-210 is just a mindless freaking grind and you just have to push through it, and it also forces me to do things I normally don't want to do like beast tribes, also not everyone is rich or are crafters and having to spend around 3mil on the crafting part is bullshit, id rather deal with tomes than having to use my gils and I will only be able to afford one relic and it really pisses me off because Id really want to do more but I just cant afford it. Thats just me though and my opinion. I think I said enough on this subject.

Guess everyone has a different point of view. I liked the books most of all (except the brayflox grind to actually get them!). Me and my nephew would both buy a book at the same time then help each other clearing all the tasks in it before starting again.

Worst for me was the light grind, just doing something over and over for a tiny amount of light lol arghhhh

anyway re progress, I have 5 hyperconductives, will probably finish a 6th just before patch, and think that will be my last one

Well, I decided to grind the Zetas even with those Animus Books. And I had reasons.

1. I hate FATE grinding, especially for leveling. I like to learn my class by doing dungeons. So I end up doing FATE grinding for just DRK, MCH and AST

2. The long road of getting unident. Items. It takes a lot of time to get those. So instead of grinding them I used the time to complete books. Waiting for fates/Queues and did some real stuff in the meanwhile.

3. The 170 > 200 step involves Zodiac drops, so does Books. It was great to combine those steps

4. Glamour! I like the WHM Zeta more than the current Anima Version, same goes to BRD. I wanted to make sure I can glamour the Zetas anytime I want to.

My current progress though: I've got two Hyperconductives (WHM and DRK), a third in theory but I don't know if the beast tribe token will be of any other use in 3.3 (I hope not!) so I won't get the third weapon before 3.3.

The only Zeta missing is DRG. Only 7 Mahatamas left though.

Primary stats can not be used as the stats you choose. Tanks have the choice between crit, det, accuracy, skillspeed and parry. As far as i am aware parry is still a joke for tanks, skillspeed is not needed except on warriors to get enough for berserk attacks, accuracy tends to be not needed on relics due to the amount on tomestone/raid gear. And crit and det increase your dps the most.
