Relic: Your progress on the Grind.

Looked at the 200-210 step and realized that the crafted items will cost me 1.8 million gil, literally my whole fortune, and stopped right there. Without the MSQ dishing out gil, I feel like it would be a grave mistake to spend all that gil now.

Not to mention the 27k Esoterics and 27k Poetics is going to take me a long time...so my relic grind is practically ended. By the time I get the tomestone mats ready, it'll probably be 3.5 or something and prices would be nerfed anyway. I might as well stop "wasting" time (since I'm not going to get it in time before the nerf, buying those mats at pre-nerf prices becomes a waste of time).

Not complaining, just saying that I'm finding the post-nerf relic tuning a lot more suitable to the casual players. Might be a better idea for us to do the post-nerf steps only but do all jobs in parallel.

I just reach the collect 80 item and 16 HQ item phase.

Lucky I saved up some on my beast tokens and manage to grab at least 10 of the 80 items required.

I'm glad Moogle beast tribe provide a lot of tokens (Rank 4 gives 2 tokens per quest) so people who keep up their beast dailies with Moogle and 2 others along with tomes then it should be slightly faster to get all the necessary mats. Add a little extra once all the roulette dailies are done by running a few extra dungeons then it should give some extra mats per week.

If my time is managable and lucky I may be able to collect 10 mats or more per week.

If Moogle dailies provide 3 tokens at Rank 6 or 7 then I may be able to get mats even fast once Moogle rank 6 or 7.

With the Oil being avaliable early through CT weekly quest I should be able to obtain all 5 oil if collecting all my items takes more than 5 weeks.

When i reach the 3.3 phase I may most likely focus on Leves for the Amber to obtain my dust while leaving the roulette for my tomes.

Im happy with the crystal nerf. Ultra fast now I got 3 of 8 fates and 3 of 6 fates. Where as my crystal count before was one crystal out of 58 fates.

Just finished part 2 yesterday after a 6 month hiatus from the game. Currently at 4/80 because I had capped my law and poetic before taking a break.

One thing that bothers me about FFXIV is that it's nearly impossible to catch up if you've been gone for any amount of time. At least until the new expansion hits. But I guess most MMOS are like that.

Just crafted 71 Crystal sands with my buddies, i'm 36/240 for my Tyrant weapon so that should put me at my cap for my weapon...now just the Esoterics I need to farm which will be a lot sadly but it'll come when it comes!



Edit realized this was 60 I crafted 60 is what I meant to say and had 11 in my inventory from doing 100 leves from Amber vilekin

Sorry I shouldn't have stated that so matter of factually. There's just been a few accounts of it over on reddit. Atm there's no hard proof or enough data to say it definitely happens this way.

maybe unrelated (or not) is why the progress bar is split in two. It's bugging me xD
