Oh I see now. Though a THM could use Fire anyway. You just would have to equip the spell. And I know I use all the elemental spells when Im THM because my strategy is Scourge -> Bio -> Blizzard -> Water -> Stone. This is because when Scourge's debuff hits all Umbral-elemental spells (Blizzard, Water, Stone and Umbral [of course]) become stronger then they were without it. The same could work for Astral elemental spells (Fire, Aero, Thunder, and Astral) Banish -> Dia -> Fire -> Aero -> Thunder. So yeah. . .

Even though this is off topic, after watching Letter from the Producer LIVE I'm quoting myself just to eat my own words. Yes, I was wrong on this matter. Still it sounds odd for me, though...

no one knows what type of restrictions jobs will have to cross class skills. for all we know, when using a job you can equip any skills from other classes

I think it's too soon to tell which class will get which job. Someone mentioned that it would be cool if CON opened up BLM even though it heals better than THM now. And conversely it would be cool if THM unlocked WHM even though it DDs better than CON. That would give both classes the options to DD and heal. If you want to DD on CON you equip, however it's going to work, BLM. If you want to cure on CON then you stay CON. Same with THM. If you want to heal on THM you change to WHM, if you want to DD with THM you stay on THM. If that makes sense. I think this would be really cool. And it wouldn't mess up the lore. THM, being able to DD and Heal, either as itself or changed to WHM would fill the lore of being twin schools of light and dark magic. And CON being able to heal and do damage as BLM wouldn't mess up the elemental lore that is such a huge part of Gridania and its storylines. That is just an idea. I have no idea what SE is actually going to do, they could make PGL BLM for all I know at this point. Lol. Guess we'll have to wait and see. Personally though, I am hoping for CON to BLM and THM to be WHM!!

in before "then it's probable they move that spells to thm": no. they released that spells a patch ago. If they are planning to give thm whm, should't more oblius to give him that spells FIRST instead to giving to cnj and then move ?

Bard is good but I also like the idea of THM being associated with a sort of "hit man" role. The guild does after all deal in revenge and retribution and it would be fun to be the instrument of pay-back to evil-doers. What do you think?

+1 Respect Umo admitting such a thing publicly. Lots lodestone forum users don't have the character for such things.

Strong point, sadly the importance of these 'class defining' exclusive abilities has argued for the reverse by a significant portion of the community.

I don't know why people dont think CON wont get both WHM AND BLM. THM has nothing to do with either of them

I was thinking the same thing. Perhaps Cons will get an option to take the white or Black path. Which then had me thinking, maybe the Thaums will get a cross roads choice also i.e., Red Mage or Dark Knight.

I understand your wants here, but what I fail to understand is why alot of posters want to continue perpetuating a discussion that differers from the facts. Its been stated that BLM and WHM will be in the first round of jobs released. One job for each class has been stated. With that said, one will have to be BLM, one will have to be WHM. Excluding THM as either is illogical. As of now RDM and DRK are not jobes we know of with plans to be released.
