Like Reila_Circus said, the song (not in full, sadly. The last verse is missing entirely) is the theme for the last fight of Coil (T13), but there are also remixes of the song in many places...
Torn From the Heavens & Breaking Boundaries
Snowcloak, Ramuh, and Fractal Continuum are a few I like.
Answers by Nobuo Uematsu is the main theme song to the game and yes, an abridged version played in the End of an Era trailer opening for the game (the full version also plays during the ARR end credits), and excerpts also show up in the Final Coil of Bahamut and during the annual 'Rising' event too. Susan Calloway's haunting vocals still send a chill up my spine when I hear them. .
Steel Reason by Nobuo Uematsu is the general Garlean boss battle theme - it appears mostly as boss fight music when facing against Garlean tribuni like Rhitayan at Cape Westwind. It's also now the mount BGM for the red and white magitek armour mounts you can buy on the Mogstation as well. It's an old track from the original version of FFXIV (version 1.0).
Clash on the Big Bridge is the only good track in the game. The rest all suck.
I really like From the Ashes, Heroes(Thordon's Original theme or Phase 2 Theme in EX) and Tempest.(T9's first theme)
There are others like Sephi's theme and Rise of the White Raven but the top three are my most favorite.
3 words: Brute &$%&ing Justice
As for field themes, the dravanian forelands theme (especially the 2nd half) is a particular favourite of mine
Oh wow! So much I could list. I'll just go off the top of my head.
The Walking Sands
Little Solice
The Sylphlands
The Bowl of Embers
The Navel (especially final phase)
Hard to Miss (boss FATE theme)
All BGM themes from The Black Shroud, La Noscea, and Thanalan
And of course... Chocobo theme!
