I say an airship battle between the forces of Eorzea against the Garlean empire.

Think Skies of Arcadia or the ship battles from Suikoden 3 - but more of a grander scale. There could also be a mode where your ship could board and raid/be boarded and raided and you need to fend off your attackers or take up arms to defend from the invaders.

So many possibilities with this one.

Of course, with this being said, they NEED to implement a garage so you can tour and inspect your airships. That's just my two cents.

And it should go without saying that part of the Binding Coil of Bahamut has you travelling through a Ragnarok-class airship spacecraft.

So yeah, there is already airship dungeons in the game, you just have to actually read the Journal descriptions in the Duty Finder and take note of what is actually being said in cutscenes.
Just goes to show that if you can't actually see it, it makes little difference. I.e. Antitower corridors. (Whereas Keeper of the Lake actually does a half-decent job of showing that you're climbing up a wrecked aircraft.)

Exactly - even one of the FFXII dungeons the OP mentioned (FFXII Imperial airships like the Dreadnought Leviathan were basically little more than cramped high-tech warehouses inside and had little to show they were even airships, so there is pretty much nothing differentiating a dungeon from one in the sky to one underground.

Somehow I can't help but remember climbing along the hull of the Palencia or w/e it was called in XIII. I guess the hull's a given, especially were it not to have such oddly shaped cut-outs and pathways, but what else might make a ship look like a damn ship? Windows. Engines. Gunports. The corridors having a sensible layout and the machinery all having its reasonable place...

Technically we already have 2 airship dungeons, one is the crashed Dreadnought Agrius (KotL), and the other the still airborne Void ark.

The only one that somewhat feels like an airship to me is Void Ark and that feeling is quickly gone after the first area transition where you go inside and just see coffins and bottomless dark pits all around. No windows, no more ventilation ports either.

I mean, I'm far from an expert on these things, but when I think "Air-Ship-Dungeon", I think of raiding a more or less regular ship in the air, so I'd expect the dungeon to be ship-like with several decks and the area to transition to the outside several times to remind you it's in the air (complete with the ability to actually fall/jump off if you feel like suicide). Might be too naive a thinking?
