I stand by my comment they could of made different races ill give human type is a give me. I believe there was an interview were they actally said to make the races simliar to ffxi so that if people ffxi transition over to ffxiv looking for post but not going to lose sleep over an empty agruement and really it not even an arguement lol. Also im not even angry about this just pointing it out this doesn't make it bad thing in my book. Seriously this forums are really full of hateful people not all but there plenty of people who with there know it all attitude really don't bring nothing to the table for this game except for whining.

So Windy = Grid, Jeuno = LL and Ul'Dah = Bastok. If you can't see that sir, you're blind. LOL You could even say LL is 'similar' to Sandy but that's pushing it imo.
OK First Windy and Grid have nothing in common Grid is an forest like town where people in the city worship the forest basically. While windy is built on an tropical like place, where all they usually care about is their magic's, and the rangers did care about nature but not just one area its self

Bastok and Uldah is the only one kid of the same but their lore is completely different cause you claim they are similar. Uldah area use to be an forest like area, while bastok is a complete wasteland. Bastok is a city that prides its self on technology and Uldah is a place to come gamble and spend money.

And finally LL compared to jeuno i guess but all they have in common is that they are both an port towns and that's all I think that's the same about them

Only thing that reminds of the Ff 11 towns is: Grid/Sandy most if not all the npc's are asshats, LL/Windy mostly everyone talks really stupid, and Uldah and bastok they both are wastelands.

Nothing really similar about them except minor details, i could go as far to say the Magictek capital of FF 12 is the basicly the same as the one in FF 6 but that would be to far fetched like your statements...

FFXI and FFXIV are very similar, but then so are many FF games. Sue the races are the same, and other things like chocobos are pretty much based off of the FFXI model (and by model I mean system). There is a wannabe AH in FFXIV and maybe a real one in the future, theres similar crafting, there's 3 main starting cities, there's beastmen, a lot of the mobs are basically HD FFXI models, theres a crap ton of stuff to compare to. But still, it's not like FFXIV is FFXI-2. They have pretty much everything else uncommon from each other.

If you really wanna compare, just look at every other FF game, they have a lot of similarities, but that's what make them FF games. Also, FFXI and FFXIV are probably more similar than others because their online games. They have to be somewhat similar I guess, two online games made by the same people? Yea, if it were me I'd make a lot of similar stuff too.

Ok and a forest and tropical forest are different how? And the only reason Windy was Tropical like was in the past and that was during the expansion pack otherwise after it regrew to the current time, it was more woods of Pine, oak, maple. Also, Windy had high walled areas inside the city or cliffs or w/e u wish to call them and Grid does too. O.o Also, this is the main place for the mages in XI AND XIV. Con guild is here, the tree stump used in XIV with the cool looking crystal ball or orb or Crystalis type object on top or with-in the stump is VERY reminesent of Heavens Tower in Windy LOLOL...did you guys even PLAY XI?! Seriously; or did the story NOT matter to you as I know there are those who could have cared less and just hacked and slashed through the game. Also it's CALLED Windurst Woods. Ummm the people in Grid ALSO worship the forest but they have added the Elementals to the mix so again; your point? lol I mean come now. Their very freaking similar. The ONLY difference between the two is the outside area. Grid still looks the same on the inside as the outside. Windy on the other hand, was WIDE open and more tundra like I guess you can say.

I have SSs if you need me to post them for reference.

Taru and Mithra didn't "worship the forest", they worshiped the magical nature (as well as nature in general). You're just grasping for straws. I can do the same:

The Starting cities in Lineage II were the exact same as those in Rappelz because both had buildings. The only similiarties between the cities in XI and XIV is they're situatued at a respectable distance from each other, which is true for any MMO with multiple start cities. Limsa is no where close to Jeuno because Jeuno was not only a hub city by story and player interaction, but Limsa doesn't "control" the other city states like Jeuno did the main nations.

If anything the Garlean captial would be closer to Jeuno. Windurst wasn't the main place for Ranger or Dragoon, nor woodworking, so using the comparison of class types doesn't work. The cities are only similar if you draw your own conclusions, because Windurst wasn't situated in a deep forest, nor does it have a "guardian", not even the Horo Towers were functional as a "guardian" which was the whole purpose of that storyline because you begin by trying to fix them lol.

Saruta was more of a plains than any type of forest. Sandoria was nestled in a forest which would make that city closer to Gridania than Windurst.
