Right inside the 4v4 Ranked matches. 8v8 won't teach you what you need to know for 4v4. The play style in that is very different. You could have two warriors chasing you mashing on ya or mch and bar instantly blowing you up with no time to react and learn. 4v4 gives you an opportunity to work with 3 different types of DPS hitting you instead of stacking up to 6.

I personally would say no to 8v8's if you plan to do 4v4. As said before, the play style is very different and it's better to jump right into the fire as long as you can handle being burned by people giving you attitudes. But, if you want to just mess around or warm up to get the blood pumpin and increase your reaction, then 8v8 would be good then.

Joeneverfails did a good video on this one. In one of his videos, he was practicing doing swap bursts on target dummies in the wolves den pier. He would set focus on one target then have a target focus macro. The focus target was the kill target, he would set up debuffs on them, then swap to a random target and beat on that for a while until he set up his burst combo and did a quick swap to the focused dummy, executing his burst combo.

None. I'm guessing you are unranked / bronze. If that's the case who cares what they say...those ranks are the time to learn. You don't want to start learning when you're in gold +... Give it your all. Learn from your mistakes. Who cares what people say. I get frustrated too when I get new people on my team and I wouldn't blame people if they got frustrated with me if I was new. It's going to happen, they just need to deal with it.

Until the end of the match there's no way to tell who is what rank. I mean, we can kinda guess based on familiar names, and it's not hard to see a completely new name, and assume they're unranked. That said, the most important thing you can do is WORK WITH YOUR TEAM. Chances are, your teammates have been around the block a bit. They know what's going on. Follow their lead, and learn how to lead on your own when you get to their level. I had a match earlier today, new healer, new tank. Completely unranked. Bronze DPS, and me, at Silver, against a team of Silvers and Bronzes. And WE WRECKED FACE. Everyone was on point with following my kill targets. I'd drop a 1 on the priority target, and my co-DPS and tank would swoop in and destroy it. 1 on the next target. Swoop in and destroy it. Our healer was struggling a little, but they worked their butt off to keep us up, which we made easier by keeping the DPS on them down.

That's how you Feast. Together. As a team. Sometimes, that's not going to happen. You're going to end up with players who don't care, don't listen, and as a result, don't ever advance. The perma-Bronze, as it were. In those matches... You carry. A lot. You take everything you've learned from your matches, and you do your best to coordinate with the party members who do care, and you put in twice the effort to carry your team to a win. Know your burst. Know your teammates. And learn. Never stop learning. There are 13 classes. Each one works differently, and has synergy with their teammates. You see a PLD on the enemy team. He's going to have Cover to protect that WHM. A fun little trick? Melt the WHM as hard as possible. Then snipe the PLD as it hits critical HP. Say it's a Warrior instead. No cover. But he's going to have some massive burst to put into your face. It'd be a shame if you stunned, bound, or slept him during his Berserk.

You pick up these tricks along the way. You learn the strengths and weaknesses of not only your own class, but of the classes of your teammates and enemies. You learn what classes can be blown up, even through Def buff. You learn which ones to kill the second they touch the Off buff. You learn how many stacks the enemy tank can take before your burst is an instant kill. Keep at it. You're not alone. We're all struggling along the same path you are. Some excel. Others fail. But that's just the nature of the beast.
