Went into the Praetorium for the first time and couldn't find the control panel to ride the thingy.
I got left behind and someone had to come and pick me up. I was so embarrassed and felt terrible because 2 people waited, while everyone else went on ahead.

Someone said "Oh, you were the first-timer? I thought it was the Black Mage!"
The black mage got pretty upset.

My first class I leveled was Arcanist/Scholar. I never DPSed as a SCH, at all. When BCOB was first released, I tried to join a PUG, and that's when I learned about Adlo. (That's incredibly embarrassing). Now I'm in cleric stance 90 percent of the time and I know my entire toolkit because I actually read my skills now. What a difference.

I had Duty Finder phobia. Pretty sure this started when I first began as a GLD and healer was super horrible to me, and so because of that, I would only run dungeons with my friend, as she was amazing at helping me out/keeping me calm. I've seemed to have gotten over it as I levelled SMN to 50 without much of her help, and just about to get DRG to 50.

I didn't know how to vote kick until last week...

I also got left behind in Praetorium and locked out of the boss fight...

Met some really cool people while running Aurum Vale as a noob SMN, and they invited me to join their FC on Odin, which was really nice of them.

My very first run of Sastasha, I was a GLD. At the time I didn't realize it was the tank class, so I was waiting for the tank to take off. Then when we got to the fight, I accidentaly mashed first person view and had no idea how to change it. (I was pretty out of it on painkillers at the time due to shoulder surgery). I couldn't figure out how to get back from first person view and people were raging. I just shut off the playstation and logged back in later after reading a bit.

I remember a few things. This being during 2.0's launch.
As Tank I may have moved left and right thinking it would help dodge auto attacks. Titan especially.
As Dragoon(This being later but I was still newish) I didn't read all of my tooltips only the numbers. "Pheb? 30 damage? Pfft" ...yeah. Thats what happens when you just fate grind to 50 without dungeons.

Because my hotbar would get full at some point I would have to make multple hotbars for my attacks (PS4). When fighting enemies I would have the tendency to activate the wrong skill because I didn't switch to the right hotbar.

I've become better aware of my hotbar now but because it was such an issue before I would now hold L1 and tap the button for the bar I want at least 4 times after each skill, even if I was already using the hotbar I wanted. X(

Since I'm fast as hell with it now I can still pull off a skill as soon as the cooldown is up. Its just something I've come to except instead of openly thinking its a problem. Back then it was rather annoying.

As ACN I used to send my pet away on accident ALL THE TIME. Even during dungeon runs. Ugh.. I felt so stupid every time.

As SCH I will notice my fairy is not healing the tank. But why??? Ohhhh, I forgot to hit 'heel' after our last trash pull and left poor Eos in the dust.

Cast bane with no DoTs up smh. It's all about that animation yo!

In Qarn: "Why I die from Doom? I stepped on the stupid panel??" "You need to step on the illuminated one blondie!" xD

I was afraid to port when I KO'd the first time in an instance because I thought the trash mobs respawn and would also get lost.

This is how I would send my pet away on accident. I would have a skill I use frequently set to the same button as 'away', but on a different hotbar. It takes some getting used to, but eventually we all become Mozart on the controller.
