    These LB are getting out of hand. The more familiar people become with the system the worser it gets. I see more and more matches desided by the melee of the opposite team and it just isnt fun anymore getting limitbreaked a few times a match/ at the end of one.

    Honestly I'm getting to this point. I don't believe it brings any value to the game mode. It doesn't make the combat deeper or more skillful at all

    I think if its starting to do more harm then good they need to at least look at removing it from the feast let skill decide matches

    It's garbage, ruined the game mode pretty much. the whole mode is just a wreck nowadays. I'm sick of wailing on one guy with 2 other people trying to outburst the heal spam. And then I'm sick of healers free casting and keeping 2 targets alive without any effort because they can free cast 99.9 percent of the game. And LB situation is a mess as well. vanilla feast, best feast.

    I actually agree with this. They'd still have to do something for cast interrupts though, because being a sch or blm on day 1 of feast was legit free medals for any melee.

    Back on OP for a second, I think SE tried to make limit breaks work kind of like an offensive counter to the fact that tanks can become literally invincible and healers can make pretty much anyone virtually invincible for the duration of a burst window.
    The comparison that comes to mind is TF2's kritzkrieg versus ubercharge, where you'd use the kritz early and often to pressure the uber and try to kill the uber medic before he gets a chance to go invul and annihilate everyone; it adds a different cadence to the game because it's not a straight race to the uber, there's a real threat of someone just diving in out of nowhere and erasing your combo with a kritz before you're ready for them.
    That said, where comp players love the kritz because it's predictable and its uses are very specific in comp play (namely the situation of trying to get a medic pick early on so the other team is at an uber disadvantage the rest of the game), nobody who played comp TF2 liked random crits. Random crits are the equivalent of the current configuration for limit breaks, where they just kinda... happen, and you get instantly blasted by someone who (hopefully) earned it, but you secretly know in your heart that they just lucked into instantly killing you. It doesn't pass the "would this be fun if it happened to me?" test, which describes a lot of stuff in XIV's current PVP system.

    SE, please revise limit breaks so they feel hard-earned and dying to one is more like "hey man ns" and less "lucked again".

    The melee LB is awful. It's contributing to the biggest issue feast has in that it doesn't feel like PvP. One of the big lures of PvP is that the fact you're playing against other human beings brings unpredictability. People could have different strategies and play styles which leads to fun randomised battles. At the moment Feast may as well be PvE. No matches end before the 8 minute timer and every match ends the same way with a melee limit break on the team that spent most of the fight winning. It's just not fun to play anymore.

    Having both Heavy Medals co exist just doesn't promote winning equal fights/skirmishes instead it encourages cheese, at least in close games. It is pointless being the better team where it matters (all cds up, no resistances, def+att buff equal in play) when you can get f****d hard by lb/stacks later on. More so lb than stacks really. I believe there is counter play to early LB's (around the 4 or 5 minute mark) and i often save my healers with tank cds/lb in solo queue etc but in the last few minutes if you have been stacked up a while you just will have used a few cd's to survive. Of all our losses in ranked party, all have been started with an lb on the healer or me and ended up in a lose after we won the first few early game fights securing a few kills.
