If you do go with a PS3 version, and your PS3 doesn't already have a solid state drive, I'd highly suggest getting one. On a plain non-upgraded PS3, load times can be bad. A solid state drive takes care of most of that. (PS3 with SSD has similar load times to PS4 without it.)
Even with a SSD though, really crowded areas can have issues with the PS3 not displaying all targets. (SE made some changes a while back to help ensure the most important targets have rendering priority. I'm assuming that took care of most of the problems this caused, but haven't seen for myself, as I've been playing on PS4 since then.)
Or don't waste your money on putting a SSD drive in your PS3.
