Looks like the campaign was a hit in Japan. Some stores have sold out of beverages due to fans wanting the ingame items!
Whether or not we'll have the same type of even is up in the air. Honestly, I'd rather buy it in the cash shop than going to my 7/11

I sincerely hope 'we' won't have the same event given how regionally restricted 7-Eleven is and how finding an alternative store with presence across all of Europe (not to mention regions outside Europe which are served by the EU version) is pretty much impossible. I guess the people in those regions would have fun making real money reselling codes at the expense of everyone else.
(To respond on an earlier point I'm hoping for the butler suit and the other goodies but don't make a habit of posting the same wish in every single thread related to this topic unless I have something else to say.)

Considering that real money needs to be spent on the 7-11 items, I just hope they put all the gear into Mog Station. That way no one gets left in the cold because they don't live near any retailer selling the items with codes.

I wonder how much money one would have to spend in order to get the butler & maid outfits plus the mount? I would imagine it will be the most expensive glamour ever if they go the 7-11 route! Even more than Sleipnr & Bennu.

And what about the thirsty players who also want something to drink for their money like the japanese players? ^^
Man I want the 30,000 MGP points. Then I can buy the Afro hairstyle and the ponytail...
Speaking as a US player, if they want to go the 7-Eleven route, the best route is to have an event in Walmart/Target. EU players, I have no idea which store could serve as an equivalent.
