Well said! The people defending this are a microcosm of what's wrong with society today lmao. SE's mistake was having faith in a player base to actually be ethical, considerate and respectful of one another's time, goals and generally speaking each others interest in group events. They should have anticipated that the majority of the player base is selfish and could not care less about what other people's goals are so long as their own goal is met. It's less of a problem in PVE since it does not reward failure and therefore even if the individuals within the group's goal for the event aren't necessarily the same they will still in the end align in that it will depend upon successful completion of the event. But the minute you have rewards no matter the outcome you get this garbage you see now in pvp.

It's also messing up with the ranking system. My 4v4 premade group nearly got to Bronze before we had our first legitimate match (against a team that was actually trying). That's kind of ridiculous. It's trolling because there are people who actually want to PvP and that's what this game mode is for. You're keeping them from having a competative match by refusing to participate and finding humor in the frustration you cause within your team. That's basically the definition of trolling.

Firstly, who cares. They said they're doing something and they asked for help. Done. That's all I need to know.We need to know tangible measures will be undertaken to prevent this sort of thing like changes or adjustments to PvP rewards. Your hollow comment is literally telling the community to police your game in your stead. It's not mentioning any kind of solution and yet it has 37 likes.[/B].
Secondly, really SE shouldn't even have to worry about any of this. I dare you to make an mmo of this scope with the same focuses involved that can't be exploited in at most one way.
Probably everyone in here cares about being able to enjoy a match without having some idiots just stand there, waste our time and degrade ffxiv's PvP image even more.
Also the community have proposed plenty solutions to eliminate/alleviate the problem and yet we haven't got a single indication SE are doing something about it. They just said they'd try to ban people doing this sort of thing which is not a solution in and of itself. Don't know why you'd white knight them so hard about this.
Even though I think banning isn't tackling the problem at it's roots, I can confirm they are trying to find people disrespecting the community guidelines. I tried reporting some people and got a response from a GM within the hour. Some people on reddit said the got off with just a warning while others got a two days suspension ban. Just make sure you note the time and date of when the people you are reporting were losing on purpose.

Might get some flack, but as I see it the rewards should be different anyways it should be focus on PvP rewards not providing PVE tome rewards, I get why they did it to get people who don't PvP try it out.

Then put the damn tomes in Unranked. Why is this so hard to do? It's a literal swap. The ranking needs fix in general, cause lololol SoloQueuesOnlyGetSeasonalRewards. Makes for awesome RNG in PVP. But that's another matter which I have no idea whoever is heading PVP department was thinking of.
So did I. The entire conversation consisted of
"Hello! Are you available to talk at this time?"
"Currently in a Feast match. Can I get a couple minutes?"
"I can wait. But not long."
*45 seconds to end of match*
"I must go. Here's a report form to fill out."
"30 seconds! I'm so sorry!" Cannot use /tell while in duty.
Followed up by a message when I contacted them (yet again) for the same offender saying that they can only respond to the first report, and since they'd contacted me, they would not again.
Yup! It's no different from idling in a dungeon on purpose to stop others from having fun. It's trolling because there are people who actually want to PvP and that's what this game mode is for. You're keeping them from having a competative match by refusing to participate and finding humor in the frustration you cause within your team. That's basically the definition of trolling.

I do the feast for lore and eso, that being said, I try to win each match! I do 8v8 and have a win ratio of 73%, so it really bugs me how there are people who don't even want to work for their esos, I am glad that reporting them will be taken seriously now. I used to do solo queue, but the leeching afk eso farmers put me off.
Realy remove the eso from the pvp even ranked is a bad idea.
You need to understand the fact, certainly a lot of player is farming eso in pvp, and out from this players, a few feeders is born, i mean players exploit this is a minority.
So i think winner should win more Eso, that's all. Winner should have higher reward on everything.
The problem is here, if we win or loose we have the same eso reward. and the current pvp gear is so useless and bad looking, it make a lot of player not wanting the wolf marks...
I think make other and better looking reward with wolfmark would be nice too.
But seriously the main issue is the Eso, winner and looser should not win the same.
