Like he said, I've heard that on certain servers, FC were owning 15 or 16 houses just for reselling....many players complained about that and, as Se did not want (or could ?) add new land at the time, they decided to strike against those house sellerSome GM's see it as a violation of the terms of use. It taking advantage of limited amounts of space and selling it for an outrageous price. It has caused controversy through the player base because land (content) was being purchased and held hostage by many players and bots to gain huge amounts of gil since housing was and is still limited. That is also why the 45 day system is in place, so land can be freed up and those players would be deterred from taking advantage of a certain feature that was not designed to make gil.

People don't know how to take criticism anymore, and bad play is rewarded with with a coddling mentality. Yes, this is a casual game for the most part - that doesn't mean people need to walk on eggshells in fear of getting reported for pointing out things. This whole 'please don't say anything even slightly negative' mentality that we seem to be going towards and the devs seemingly pushing towards it is creating a disturbing trend.

There's certainly nothing stopping you from selling your house via the PF or shouts, but it just depends if somebody decides to report you for it. Some GMs see it as against ToS, some don't.
There's a subreddit designed for people that want to sell their houses, so you can always use that if you're looking to negate that risk entirely.
You're good at the game? You're an elitist.
You're using a parser to better yourself? Elitist.
You're making suggestions on how someone can improve themselves? E l i t i s t.
You wipe a farm party constantly but you're having fun playing your way. Nah you're fine dude.
This community astounds me at times.
I've never used reddit, ever. So not sure how that works. Do you have a link or the topic thread name I can search? There's certainly nothing stopping you from selling your house via the PF or shouts, but it just depends if somebody decides to report you for it. If you decide to do it anyway, be carefull, considering you've post it here before, some people may report you just for "fun" :/
