[Request] Can we please have decent looking horses?

I'm assuming by the tone of your comment you don't appreciate the thread. They mentioned the things they hate (albeit with some flair) and they also gave props to SE for some of their newer mounts. How do you think should OP have approached this?

The tone of my comment is informative. If you're getting more than that, you're reading way too much into it. I personally like the current mounts but could honestly care less whether or not OP does. What OP likes doesn't affect what I like and vice versa. I do feel she could've been a little less insulting toward what we have now simply because that feeling is going to tend to color people's responses to what she wrote. It casts the entire tone of the thread in a negative light and basically makes it off as a whine thread instead of a request. OP at least doesn't imply that she speaks for everyone, so kudos for that.

To be fair horses have been in FF since FF1 (Nightmares) just only as monsters.

My only complaint about the primal horses/unicorn/pegasus is the sculpted mane and tails. Sleipnir's got an awesome mane/tail going, so why couldn't they have been more like that? One of the visual appeals of horses is watching them run with their hair streaming, and while having something like TressFX isn't feasible in an MMO yet, sculpted hair is such a cheap way out. And they're all fantasy/shiny particle horses, would love just a normal horse without any crazy barding. Maybe that's something better saved for an Othard expansion where horses are actually indigent.

This is why we can't have nice things. Everyone takes a direct post that does not sugar-coat saying "I find your horses really not so well done because maybe they are possibly not to my liking but please don't be offended by my opinion...oh nvm what I said, I am sorry I hurt your feelings...I'll be over there admiring your pretty horses."

Please, stating facts is not insulting.I work with MMOs every day and believe me, if devs don't have a thick skin and sulk every time they get criticized, they will not get very far. I use my Nightmare pretty often as well (preferred land mount) but that doesn't keep me from wishing it would actually...you know....look good?

I am not telling anyone what they should like. Did you find me snapping at people because they disagreed with my preference here? No. Instead, you choose to get offended by my dislike of the looks of the current ponies. If they would polish them up, fix proportions and remove the superglue, I'd be perfectly content.

However, as I am well aware that our current ponies are being liked (see how I am NOT ignorant like some people?), I would find it fairer to just offer a new mount. The amount of work needed for a re-design is also almost the same so why not?

P.S: I would pay for a decent looking horse. Also, I don'tcare if you hate the mog station system

My only issue is, the horses look a bit... extreme and lifeless in the face, at the same time. I wouldn't mind if the horses changed a bit, but I don't look at them and cringe. I believe Slepinir looks pretty great, even though he's short, they did a good job without giving him all of the legs he is supposed to have. I love how animated his mane and tail are. And I actually also really like the animations for the pegasus, it's just how I imagined a real one would move.

(I take this minus the armor and metal tail bits...and no sideway sitting, please!)

That's actually called riding side saddle, and I love the option. I would prefer that random passerby do not see the color panties I've chosen to wear, irl or in-game, simply because I'm wearing a dress. Ladylike options are the best options.

That's because everyone takes general comments as insults right away. Just having different opinions is not being insulting. But hey, to each their own
