[Request] Can we please have decent looking horses?

I just wish the ponies proportions were right! their heads are way too big.. I would love a new horse mount that was of a different model maybe with a void ark theme.. that'd be awesome

If my memory serves, horses are practically non-existent outside the lands of Doma, which is why the people of Doma aren't too keen on the smell of Eorzea's "horsebirds". The first Heavensturn and the Domans arrival quests seem to indicate that. The exceptions to the lack of horses in Eorzea being the Warrior of Light, of course. And then there's the matter of the unicorn in the level 30 White Mage quest.

This more like a matter of opinion. I think IMO that the horses look fine.

I wouldn't say the horses are horrible , but they could do with some tweaks.

Redo the the tails..they truly look like are readying to take a dump in the next 3 seconds....its awful to look at.....and makes them look quite silly.

But that's the only thing that I find really badly designed about them. The stiffness of the manes and run animation is somewhat standard in here, our own hairstyles are stiff and gear is unrealistically stiff so I doubt that would improve.

I do find though ffxiv has done excellent with some of the other mounts..its just a matter of personal taste and standards I guess.

Wow was the same, they made gorgeous and smooth running cat mounts but when it came to wolves...omg they ran with an extremely poor animation, they looked horrid. I wont get into the lolyak run.....

Tera and Rift do an excellent job with all mounts, both in appearance and realistic run animations etc.

I personally love the look of the horses as they are, all of them, nothing looks awkward to me, and they're good for what they are, fantasy horses. Why do fantasy games keep getting asked/told to have realism in them?

You're right, it's not passive-aggressive. OP is pretty direct about being insulting toward the design of the current ones.

They don't have the pigeons either iirc so seeing that they are pretty loose on that....I don't think having a good looking horse is too much to ask for

FF games have Pigeons... FF6 had avery famous scene with carrier pidgeons.
