i would imagine that maybe it will be used one final time in a Proper trial against Nidhogg, i cant really think of anywhere else it would work.

What was being remixed a lot was the music theme of the movie trailer.

As Urthdigger said, Dragonsong's theme shows up repeatedly throughout Heavensward, from zone themes to cutscene tracks. given the song lyrics specifically reveal plot revelations throughout the expansion's story, it's likely SE did not want to put those lyrics front and centre in the game itself until after it longer was a problem (hence, like Answers, it appears in full in the end credits at the end of the initial Heavensward storyline). Snippets of Answers used in the Final Coil was just a tip of the hat to the use of a spooky, a capella version of it that replaced all zone BGM in the final month of 1.0's service, so that doesn't really have bearing on how Soken will utilize Dragonsong.

But then, we're still only halfway through the 3.0 patch cycle, anything can happen in the next year or so.

Much like Answers, I imagine the proper in-game use of Dragonsong with full vocals is being saved for the climax of the Dragonsong War story arc. It may be the theme for our final fight with Nidhogg or it'll be used during the credits after the final patch prior to the next expansion.
