Moogle as playable race

I guess one thing to ask is would people be fine with any race if they were willing to drop armor set or such? At the time it seems like the only thing stopping us is because of different foot, leg, body designs but yet we know they can hold weapons just fine, alter or add a few animations and now we have our Ixal Dark Knight. Assuming you were limited to certain sets, I mean to my knowledge the Amal'ja are the same looking from level 8 all the way to 48 minus the fate bosses and even then its a hat. Maybe offer a few choices in color of basic bestial armor, fur and horns but otherwise you can equip all your gear but it wouldn't change your appearance. I enjoy dressing up and glamour myself but when I think on it I think I'd be fine going without if I had the choice of a moogle or any other beast tribe.

The thing I've seen most people advocating for, at least as far as playable Moogles are the ivalician varity, and they aren't too dissimilar to Lalafel in proportions.

The races in the game have to be humanoid with fantasy-type features, for the sake of gear models and various other reasons. That's why Au Ra are much more human like than dragon like, the same goes for Miqo'te. Something like this could work:

However, this would obviously clash with lore (and questions such as breeding are surely to be asked). I assume it would be the closest thing possible to implement though.

It would break lore so hard if they did. Don't forget that you need to be "special" in order to even see moogles. To the average person they're nothing more than myth and legend while others don't even know what a moogle is. So for moogles to suddenly flood Limsa would be madness.

In topic: i would love to play them but i give a big fat NO, because 3 reasons:

-Moogles have always been side characters (but important ones mostly) in the final fantasy world, except very few occasions they've never been playable (FF tactics they are, cait sith doesn't really counts, can't think of any other), they wouldn't make much sense in the FFXIV.

-It would break the lore already set in countless ways, as many already stated.

-Gear, jesus the work needed to adjust to these little fellows would be quite a bit, because they fly, have wings and their big "pompom" things on their head
