It's an Archer lv4 ability, and you need the Archer at lv15 to unlock BLM - I think that's the point Ilenya wants to make ^^

I guess the misunderstanding came up with the term "unlocked". Yes, he must have it unlocked as a BLM, but he might not have it in his "Additional" skills. So, everyone knows who meant what and I everyoby's happy ^^ Unless the people who had to party with that BLM :/ Sorry for ya

Fastest SMA run ever, I wouldn't believe it myself if I didn't make a screenshot.

Damn, I really wish I had a screenshot of my fastest run there. Got through in 13 minutes (it was actually 12 and some seconds). Two fully decked out SMN's (before 3.2) and a full geared SCH. So many DoTs and shadowflares. I pulled everything from the 1st boss to the bee wall and the adds were dead before we broke down the 1st wall. That was a fun run.

Playing WHM, the lvl 60 Roulette dropped me into an in-progress Aetherocemical Research Facility dungeon that had only just started (1 min in progress). According to the two DPS, the tank and two healers had bailed before I came in. We got another tank in about 3 more minutes, and started our run. We finished in under 20 minutes, no issues, had fun the entire time chatting about random stuff.

It sucks that so many people choose to take the 30 minute penalty than run the dungeon that would be done in 20-25.

Had an all-Lala run of Lost City HM today. It was awesome. Between the two BLMs and the SCH everything just melted. I actually had to work to keep aggro. Lala master race indeed.

I remember that run, was pretty fast indeed. It's always nice to get a party solely consisting of lalafells.


I have recently leveled most classes to 60, since they had buffed dungeon exp in 3.1, but had very few bad runs among those.

Though one Void Ark run some time ago took a rather unusual turn: I had queued with a bunch of people from my fc, mostly doing weekly/farming farthings but we didn't have a full grup and so we got a random tank and one or two random dps.

Everything went pretty normal until first boss, when our tank pulled it as fast as possible without any regard for people not yet in the room. Raid dps was pretty high so, apart of a few people having to watch the fight from behind the barrier, it didn't really matter.

Only this was repeated for trash and the following boss, which in combination caused a few issues since the smaller amount of people during trash lead to more knots blowing up and people dying to poison, who in turn didn't made it to the second boss in time, leading to even more people being locked out there.

Shortly after the pull, one of my fc collegues called the tank out in /p about just making the run take longer this way. The tank didn't seem to take criticism lightly and responded in a very aggressive manner, putting the blame on people being slow and childish, complaining instead of just dealing with it.

This didn't stay in /p very long, since people from other groups also took offense and started to voice their complaints in /a. This in turn lead to our tank starting to insult the other raidmembers in rather uncreative ways ("your mom..." jokes were used), apparently pissing off enough people so all three groups decided to just stay outside and have the tank duke it out with chuchullain on his own.

After his unfortunate demise, the tank finally waited for people to get there before pulling. In fact, he stopped doing anything at all since he was too busy spewing abuse at people in /p and /a. At some point during the bossfight he tried stealing aggro from the other tanks, presumably to drag chuchu onto people and kill them with vomit, but thanks to the other tanks being pretty good, this wasn't successful.

After the fight he was quickly removed and once a replacement tank appeared, Echidna went down without any issues.

Yeah, this makes more sense to me. I was just a tad confused because the wording as I read it made it sound like he managed to unlock BLM without managing to earn Raging Strikes.

For some reason I always get bad tanks, doesn't seem to matter what level range, what class I play as. Everyone else in the group is even nice enough to point out some ways they could make the run go smoother, which I think in turn makes it that much worse.....

All you can do is laugh not to cry, and make a ton of jokes at the person who doesn't even want to bother learning their classes expense. End up with 2 comms (one time I got all 3 comms, wtf tank? lol) for keeping the other 2 people to stick it out and finish it I guess

Normally I'm doing the heavy lifting in Ex Roul with a stranger as another DPS, but the other day I had a bard along with my two friends and me that made me feel... inadequate? Incompetent? We basically melted everything in Amdapor HM but like... I felt soooooo incompetent compared to them, their skill and their freaky overmelded gear...

My heart actually skipped a beat when they gave me their commendation, ahaha...

And after checking things, I was right, you can't be a BLM without Raging Strikes. It's just not possible.

The people I'm referring to were a SMN and a MCH. They were too lazy to go out and level archer to 4. My response to Selli was more about not having Quelling Strikes and sharing a similar story of not having cross class skills.

Oh, that I've run into before, though in my case it was less 'lazy' and more 'didn't realize how bloody useful it was.'

Been spamming Garuda Hard and Thornmarch Hard on black mage, trying to get all my mahatmas done for Lilith Rod (yeah I'm late on that) while also trying to get the two handed WHM weapons. I've seen a lot wipes due to people putting damage on King Mog too soon, even when there weren't new people in the group unfamiliar with the mechanics. >_<

On the plus side, I finally got the King Mog Triple Triad card.
