They're trying to enlist a sense of pride in your nation to move people out of uldah They're not stopping you from doing the quest from people of different nations. They're just saying if your linkshell is smart/close enough to stick together and hold a poll to pick a linkshell nation then you EARN better rewards for having such pride

Okay. I Choose Gridania. My friend chooses Ul'dah.

I find a public group shouting for members which say, Gridania only.

To get the best chances of gear i need to choose a GC i may not like. Sounds like a sacrifice to me.
