Had an all-Lala run of Lost City HM today. It was awesome. Between the two BLMs and the SCH everything just melted. I actually had to work to keep aggro. Lala master race indeed.![]()

I haven't seen someone this mad in Duty Finder in a long time...
Since the new relics came out, I figured I should start working on my 210 again (I know, I've been slacking). I ended up joining in progress an 11 min Alexander Gordias 1, and it was definitely a special party.
As soon as I jumped in, I saw that the party was already fighting the Oppressor and .5, and having issues. The tank pretty much after 10 seconds of me joining starts typing cuss words in all caps at some of the other members... they wipe of course. One healer leaves, and they kick the MCH (I didn't get a chance to see what he was doing). We get a replacement healer and we pull. The fight isn't super smooth, I think one missile ended up going off, but we managed to kill it. The whole time the Tank seemed like they were raging out, which I found funny. They had mentor status on also, so I commented after we killed it that the tank seemed like a really bad mentor... especially with all the comments he made.
Honestly the story isn't really that interesting, but the chat log sure is fun. Warning: the link to the image below contains a lot of bad language.

And this is why I, unfortunately, never queue in progress for Alex. Did it a few times and had similar experiences almost every time.
That actually brings up an old story, joined Alex 3 (I think) in-progress to a bunch of a ragers who had lost a tank (I wonder why...) and they were attempting it again with one tank after I joined. They managed to kill it, and I explicitly state that since I didn't help with the fight I'd pass on all the drops. Despite that, I get a bunch of toxic words thrown at me about how I'm a worthless piece of sh** (Uh, okay?) and that if I did roll on anything they'd report me for harassment (Is that even punishable?).

My Ley Lines attract AOEs. Cuchúlainn puked on them - twice in the very same fight. Got a lot of laughs and pity comms for that ;_;
If he is being tanked in the middle, you can pretend there is an imaginary circle that connects each of the platforms. Standing just outside of this will still keep you in range of healers while out of range of his puke. This will allow you to remain being a turret in your aoe magnet.
Queued for levelling roulette on my Astro as I need eso's for the new relic, got Stone Vigil NM…. i was tempted to leave as we had two new people in it (the tank and the BLM), but decided I didn't wanna be one of those people xD There was Me (astro), PLD, BLM and MNK. Dps was really slow.. I dpsed when I could to try and make it go a bit quicker. Explained all the bosses and tbh apart from it being a really slow run, it was a good runNo one really messed up. The was one time when we wiped on some adds cause the tank pulled too many and lost hate etc, but apart from that he only lost hate a few times. We talked a bit during the dungeon and they seemed cool people
It took about 40mins to do the dungeon, but tbh I really didn't mind. Eventually finished and I left with 3 commendations :3 Glad I stayed in the end as I helped 2 people clear the dungeon with ease

I would of rolled after they responded to you saying " I'll pass on all drop" also pretty sure they cant report you, more than likely the gm will turn on them after they see the comments they said too youAnd this is why I, unfortunately, never queue in progress for Alex. A fun one, que'd up in prog this morning for M3, apparently atleast both of the previous tanks were undergeared and either left or got kicked. The other tank (I believe he was a WAR, don't remember right now.) MT, and when I went for the tank swap he kept hate because he doesn't need. "My brother can keep me up" is what he essentially said. Now he DID, but thats not what made it fun. What made it fun was that Edward Elric was the tank, and his bro and Winrey were the healers. "K shortstuff."
"WHAAAT!?" (no berserk though that I remember.)
Got 4 comms, and pretty sure it was for that little convo.
I was really tempted to say, "But people are a lot less rude when they're not behind a computer screen." Buuut I've worked in a high school... teachers put up with a lot of crap for no reason. Bless them.
I think part of the problem was the fact that I was a healer and people assume "I die = healer's fault" and being a mentor probably means "mentor = can solo heal/tank/dps". Which, I mean, it's totally possible, but I think I'm way too used to my level 60 skills to attempt to solo heal any EX at level 50. ^.^"Reading this actually made me sad. I really despise such people, who blame everyone and everything instead of looking at themselves first. Okay if it is your first time and you need some time to get a grasp of the mechanics.... But to get snippy in the process and start to insult people? Such a poor display of character.
It's not always this bad, I have had great mentor roulettes.It's nice to see people react to new things (I had a newbie tank in Tam-Tara who was just blown away by the sight of everything. He was especially fascinated by the orbs) or when you give someone advice and they try it out and go "Oooh" because suddenly something that used to confuse them now makes perfect sense or even sometimes just goofing off and showing some people something random (like in Halitali normal, during Thunderclap you can get stuck between some of the debries and the wall. I had a party where we all stacked in there and the DPS were dying laughing).
Thank you for your sympathy, but it gives me a good laugh now. XD Every time I see an AoE I think of that group and wonder just how many of them could dodge it, LOL. KotL was definitely one of the first runs that came to my mind, and I secretly hoped I wouldn't have to heal that run.
Yeah, Titan is a pain in the butt. I play on a toaster with potato net speeds so things like Titan and Void Ark make one of them overwork and cause crazy lag, which is why I suggested the setting lowering to that Titan group. Even now I still eat WotLs in Titan HM all the time because I have my settings on medium instead of on low when I'm not PvPing/raiding (gotta look fabulous, yo!).
