I'll never understand the mentality of people, if your members are in there they are clearly the correct level. Just because your over-geared for it is no reason to expect anyone else to be as well. =/
Went to Gubal Library on a tank, sees 2 BLMs and I thought to myself "well, this should be fast." Except, it wasn't. In fact, it was way slower. I looked at their gears and it looked decent enough, I thought maybe it's their rotation since I could hold aggro so easily; I took a glimpse at party list time to time but they were doing 2.0 rotation just fine. So I really wasn't sure what was going on.
As the dungeon dragged on though, I could see the hope in the AST dissipate. They were originally buffing the party as a whole at the start of the dungeon but midway through they started buffing me exclusively.
We probably took an hour to finish it.

I signed up to level 50 roulette and I think i wandered on to a premade since they were chatting already when I was joining. Was best run I've ever had so far.
EDIT: had to edit out the screenshot since it has something i don't want publicly

I was avoiding posting this one, but now I find it kind of funny so I figured I'd share it. This hasn't happened recently, this happened back when Mentor Roulette was still fairly new.
I queued for Mentor Roulette and got Titan EX. We got the new person bonus, I wasn't sure who was new, and no one answered when I asked so I gave a super brief mechanic run down. After I finished, I advised we take the fight as far as we could and I'd give any further explanations for anything we were having trouble on.
The tank pulls, everyone is stacked on Titan's butt and spanking him WHEN Weight of the Land comes out... aaaand... I'm the only one who moved. So now only the MT and myself are left alive. We wipe. I think that was, like, 30 seconds into the fight? I'm not 100% sure when the first WotL is, but it is very early on.
Now one of the DPS got snippy with me, saying that I never warned them about this. And I said, "Yes, I did. I said he has two major ground AoEs to lookout for. A long line AoE (which will turn into 3 and then 5 in later phases) and the circle AoE. Both need to be moved out of as soon as they spawn, both were present in previous Titan fights, and we were stacking on his butt to avoid having AoEs everywhere to minimize the number of casualties." To which they replied, "Well, you didn't tell us they would be that fast." And I reply, "That's okay, practice makes perfect, we will do better this pull."
So we pull again... same thing happens. We pull a third time... same thing happens. We pull a fourth time, and the DPS decide that stacking sucks and stand everywhere, this time we kill off both tanks and my co-healer, but the DPS are okay. Fifth time, some spread prematurely and manage a 8/8 wipe.
At this point everyone is pretty frustrated, I can't really offer much more for advice at this point other than asking them to turn down their graphic settings to avoid lag. They start blaming me for not healing enough, saying that as a WHM I should be able to counter the damage somehow. So I ask my co-healer (a SCH) if they can give us a Sacred Soil and maybe a Succor and see if that helps. Sixth pull, same result as before (the SCH did a super awesome job timing their Soil and Succor, though, but it couldn't help all the stacked WotL damage).
Now they are beyond frustrated. I get called a terrible mentor and a whole bunch of really colorful insults. I apologize and tell them I cannot physically do the dodging for them, the best I can do is explain what I know but the execution of their actions is on them and not myself.
So I get told that I am going to be reported, right before I am vote kicked from the party. I was pretty offended after the whole thing, especially since I felt like I really did try my best in that situation to no avail. But now that some time has passed I do find it kind of funny... I mean, WotL is one of the first handful of mechanics in that fight and I've never seen it cause that much trouble before, lol.
Reading this actually made me sad. I really despise such people, who blame everyone and everything instead of looking at themselves first. Okay if it is your first time and you need some time to get a grasp of the mechanics.... But to get snippy in the process and start to insult people? Such a poor display of character.
One of my least enjoyable runs ever was (sadly) my first run of The Praetorium. I knew to skip all cutscenes as people don't wait and I can always rewatch them later. But I never expected it to go THIS fast (that's what she said!... *cough* ). People rushed through the whole thing, barely killing anything and going straight for the lift. I didn't realize this and ended up standing alone vs a bunch of adds. Ok, I pulled through, let's catch up... and get lost due to the layout being slightly confusing. By the time I finally do catch up to the rest the Nero is already being beaten down, so I'm chilling outside the purple "wall" unable to get into the fight. Rest of the dungeon I'm with everyone else, but everything falls like dead flies and the boss fights don't feel challenging at all.
This was supposed to be this epic final battle, but ends up being this "Let's get this over with..." thing. I don't blame the people, time is money and whatnot, I just wish it could've been different
Had an awesome run today. Queued for expert around 20 minutes before reset, left Lost City with 5 minutes to spare. I forgot all about daylight savings and went in expecting it to be my one daily until the tank said something along the lines of, "Let's do this fast and beat the reset." And not only was it a pretty fast run, but it was so smooth too. The healer and tank might have come in together they were that in sync.
