It seems to be the new way of doing it. An easy step to the tome base level weapon, and a big step for the upgraded level. Though I really think they need to make the upgraded quest availble well before the upgrade item is made easily available.

According to this, no. Can be done with a weekly CT raid (all three dungeons) or purchased with Esoterics.

So according to the reddit, you can grab the oils from the CT weekly quest before you even accept the next anima quest.
Very nice indeed. In a way it is i nerf, being able to work on 2 steps at the same time. So by the time you get all the tokens, you'll have the oils and be able to upgrade it instantly.

pretty much, but no matter how easy they make it.. people will still complain cuz they have to play the game for longer than 2 hours to get it.... I really have to stop and wonder why ppl sub to a game they obviously don't enjoy playing... seems like doing anything is too much for the devs to ask nowadays lol..

I'm very happy. I'm currently 56/80 and 8/16 and queuing for the CT weeklies. Once I finish this step, I can immediately complete the next one.
