They removed gender locks on a bunch of previously male-exclusive gear again.

No, don't get it twisted. They removed the gender lock on both male and female items.

Expeditioner's Thighboots, Dhalmelskin Thighboots and one pair of the gloves were previously female only.

Seeing as its a reward for the weekly quest line I would assume you can start farming it now.

Edit: Had a FC member check who wasn't on the quest, they said the Aether Oil is a choice.

I wasn't on relic quest but the reward is aether oil along with allagan catalyst. The optional only upgrade material to i130

They also mentioned a housing update regarding more houses being made available to purchase in 3.25, and the Mansion type 512-player housing for release in 3.3. Guess that was all misleading, too.

Could you link a source where any of that was promised for 3.25? All I've heard is 3.3 for more plots and 3.4 for for the apartment system.
