    I'm very happy with these little adjustments, but I have just one question for SquareEnix, why do the Hyperconductive Anima weapons lack materia slots? Is it due to them being available for customization in 3.3? Is it a lore reason? I'm very bewildered at this, since, they are essentially raid-quality weapons.

    Not sure why they don't have slots, but they come with the secondary stats from materia "pre-attached" according to a Reddit. Maybe it's compensation for the long grind.

    That appears to be the case, though that's somewhat annoying... I didn't want to meld Skill Speed to my Kannagi... I'd much rather have had slots and the option to meld whatever I like... That was a fairly big complaint with the new weapons, wasn't it? We lost the customization from Sphere Scrolls... Meld slots seemed like the perfect justification for that... OK you'd lose the materia when you upgrade, but so what? Materia is dead common these days... Having extra meld slots would have gone a long way to actually making Relics seem special from a stats standpoint...

    I'm actually most excited about the Bennu mount. I've wanted a Zu so badly since it was introduced. I tried to win one three times from my old FC and lost every time. Then I moved servers and the mount on Gilgamesh was 3 times the price it was on my former server. Buying this will be the very first thing I do tomorrow!

    Gotta say, it seems like they focused on all the stuff I care about least (pvp, gold saucer, crafting[i think? I glossed over it]). The relic part is nice, seems like it will be a lot less grindy and gives a decent reward. A nice horizontal progression choice from the relic. For SCH it's actually a bit tough.

    like mega crit of the relic vs accuracy melds of the Lore. I think I'm going to go with the relic though.

    I love the increase of xp and MGP. And it appears all the people who complained about CT are getting their wish, well for a limited time it seems.

    The rewards for the chocobo racing made it less tedious, however it's the chocobo race itself that is a problem for me. Without a perfect connection (and possibly with it? I don't think I'll ever experience that) the controls lag behind so my steering is off, letting my chocobo rest is off, I have to make wild guesses as to when to jump for a treasure box and when the server is going to believe I pressed that button and all of that lagged interface combined makes it extremely poor gameplay. I would very much like a version of it less tied to the server deciding what my responsiveness is and instead letting my computer decide that, even if it means I'm stuck with pre-made groups or npcs opponents only. Making the carrot bigger is an incentive to get people in temporarily, but making it actually fun keeps them coming back just because they actually enjoy it. (Just my opinion, I know some of you enjoy it as is)

    That's not your connection or lag. That's working as designed and would be the same if you had a 0 ping. It's the same as in FFVII. You don't have 100% control over your chocobo. You guide it, but it doesn't always listen, or react immediately. In FFVII, one of the stats affected how quickly/likely the choco was to listen to you. I think there's one in this game too - cunning or something?
