Did you know The Anti-Tower's last boss is pretty easy? I can solo her on my Warrior, at least.

I learned this recently when our DPSers were just that bad. First set of dolls was me and the healer, and neither of us got broken out at all, and the boss used its tankbuster on one of the DPSers (because I wasn't a valid target at the start, being a doll). So he got rezzed. Next set had both the DPSers dolled. I broke them out almost immediately with a single berserking fell cleave on each. Next set (because I can only do so much DPS myself) was a DPS and Me. The DPS got broken out because the healer helped kill it, but it took too long for me to get broken out, and the boss tankbustered the healer and killed them. Then the DPS killed themselves on the Relfect damage the boss put up, and I was the only one alive at about 30%.

I then solo'd the rest of the fight, and since she wasn't able to tankbuster me twice per cycle because I'm not a valid target when I'm a doll, I was able to heal/mitigate myself enough through the other one, did it in about 4 more cycles.

So I could do it from 100%, but it would take a looooooong time.

Heh, it is a sad day when people are dying in the current dungeons :|

Damn, I still have to unlock Quelling xD For the most part I just stop DPSing when I get too much aggro :P That again - I'm still pre-level 50 x)

If Quelling would just last forever Btw, in case Quelling isn't available (because it's on CD for example) you can also just switch your target (unless there's only one of course... then you have a problem).

Maaan, I just had the worst set of Mentor Roulettes ever. >.> All EX primals.

I queue for Mentor Roulette, Titan EX pops. The 7 other people are new, some are in mostly i120, most in lots of i90. I explain the mechanics and we don't even get to heart phase because they have trouble dodging landslides, WotLs, and tank swapping. After about 6 wipes we vote abandon.

Queue again for Mentor Roulette, get Ramuh EX. Tanks aren't swapping correctly. We have 3 melee so I'm running around trying to get orbs between spamming heals. And our only ranged isn't baiting. About 4 wipes and we vote abandon.

Queue again, get Odin. My co-healer is new and spamming Aldo in p1 on everyone in the party and running out of MP by the time we get to the bleed phase and the MT isn't popping CDs for the tank buster. Since there is no damage in p1 (aside from the tank buster and people dodging), I'm DPSing. The OT decides that the wipes are my fault because I'm DPSing in a phase with no damage and thus can't heal in the phase with damage even though I have full MP and Shroud up again by that point. I guess it's my fault for not being able to solo heal? Idk. Vote abandon after the 3rd wipe.

Queue again, get Shiva EX. No one wants to even pull this one, they all want to stand there for 5 minutes until we can kick someone and everyone can leave. I decide to save everyone the trouble and eat the penalty. No more Mentor Roulette for a while. x.x

Things like this make me glad I'm not a mentor...I'm sure I could explain it but....some new players have issues listening at all.

Now it's my turn for a Duty finder horror story.
Qued Midas 4 last night figured hell with it, I need my weekly roll drop still. Worst mistake of my life, we clear the first part sure, after 3 adds blew up and we barely lived, (I was the only DPS up) we save that. We kill adds I eventually die here because of the circle thing no one stacking and me lagging a little and getting hit and not getting healed, so I of course die, I never get raised, (I'm the only support DPS hence the only one who can restore mana) After a bit, I'm still dead, healer starts screaming for Mana regain and blames me. at this point due to low mana the other 3 DPS just die because no one followed mechanics and just died, sure enough, about 3 minutes later the enrage kicks in. Did you know you can hit enrage when the boss is at 70%? Yeah that's possible...anyway after that they vote abandoned. I retreated to my house and stayed there the rest of the night because I was just done with DF for the night. Got my drop the next morning.

Because if you aren't willing to sit through infinite wipes and deal with infinite seeming hopelessness with no progress towards clearing, you shouldn't be a mentor, right?

Selli sat through constant wipes, with no progress being made. You may have all day and all the patience necessary to sit through wipe after wipe with no progress, but most people do not, even mentors.

I say this as someone who is not and likely never will be a mentor by the way. I help newbies the old fashioned way.

ummm might want to get some decent reading comprehension I was clearly making a comment towards the people that were giving Selli a hard time in those roulettes messing up mechanics even though they're mentors and should know their jobs and these extreme fights inside and out by now. Quick on the trigger aren't we with assumptions today? Do I need to post Chaika again?
