Oh, with the exception of 1 ring. The "Brand-New Ring", which only serves to increase EXP gained for chars under level 30.

To be fair, it also serves to give +3 to all main stats. Which means that for tanks, that +3 str and +3 vit provides more dps than +5 on one of those (since they count for 0.5-ish each). Less HP compared to a +5 vit ring, sure, but yeah. Personally, I tend to keep that ring on my alts* until I get to 50 ^^; Buying a HQ ring between lvl40-50 is way too expensive. (But... on the other hand, I also wear full vit accessories as a tank other than that one, and know how to tank -- and to not do large pulls with undergeared DPS and/or healer ^^; )

*) Yes, alts. I'm an altoholic. Currently working through the MSQ on one of them together with a friend who recently started playing the game.

Got Ravana Hard on trial rouelttes, 2 newies in the party. As soon they said there were news, 3 players automatically left. This is very common, but the fun thing was, this 3 guys WERE MENTORS, yes, mentors that refuse to play with newies. Their mentor status should be removed automatically for this.

The mentor system need a way to keep this players away. They shoulnd´t be mentors if they doesn't want play with newies.

I thought the mentor system was just a way for people to get a fancy crown next to their name.

I had an interesting DF encounter not too long ago. I was in what I call a sorority girl party (all female Hyurs). When I arrived and said my usual hello and /wave and noticed two were in bikinis, and the other a onesie. They proceeded to do emotes to me in sync. Blowing kisses, dance emotes, and clapping. After that odd introduction I just laughed, and we proceeded to a pretty straight forward dungeon run.

Still, when I was leveling my tank jobs, I used accessories from Cutter's Cry, Brayflox, and Haukke Manor. And I could tank Stone Vigil and Dzemael Darkhold just fine with those underleveled accessories. Even went through Aurum Vale as PLD with them. The important part, I'd say, is that they were all vit accessories.

The last five runs of CC, I've only seen Dex and Mind accessories drop xD So... while tank accessories from CC would be preferrable, it's still based on RNG =) They're also only +4 on the main stat, so... not that much better.
But yeah, the full-STR setup was a lot worse than that particular ring ^^; I did have a couple of i28-29 drops... but judged the +3 strength on the Brand New Ring worth more than the secondaries those did ^^; Especially since it's not always good secondaries ^^;

My old static actually had this problem back in A1S where our BLM went a little too ham on Faust and would get herself killed. We had to go help her level BRD to get Quelling because she didn't even have it unlocked. XD

I had a nice run of the Antitower today. I said my hello and everyone else stayed quiet. The other DPS was also a Ninja and we blew through everything. He left when I was in the middle of typing "Thanks for the group." And before I could comm him.

Did you know The Anti-Tower's last boss is pretty easy? I can solo her on my Warrior, at least.

I learned this recently when our DPSers were just that bad. First set of dolls was me and the healer, and neither of us got broken out at all, and the boss used its tankbuster on one of the DPSers (because I wasn't a valid target at the start, being a doll). So he got rezzed. Next set had both the DPSers dolled. I broke them out almost immediately with a single berserking fell cleave on each. Next set (because I can only do so much DPS myself) was a DPS and Me. The DPS got broken out because the healer helped kill it, but it took too long for me to get broken out, and the boss tankbustered the healer and killed them. Then the DPS killed themselves on the Reflect damage the boss put up, and I was the only one alive at about 30%.

I then solo'd the rest of the fight, and since she wasn't able to tankbuster me twice per cycle because I'm not a valid target when I'm a doll, I was able to heal/mitigate myself enough through the other one, did it in about 4 more cycles.

So I could do it from 100%, but it would take a looooooong time.
