It is a double edged sword. But I'm sympathetic enough to see it's value. a free log in day may be just enough to get an otherwise loyal customer just enough extra time to get out of a financial tight spot and come back to the game.

As there are people out there like that can't play do to money issues it usually not the case, most stop paying their sub cause they bored with the game or w/e other reason and is a choice that they stopped paying their sub.

They have to enter the house to refresh the timer.

Which is great for those who do intend to keep playing. And people who are no longer playing are unlikely to do this anyway.

There are more than likely a few handful of people that do this just to keep their house or otherwise deny potental buyers of it. At least ther were serveral instances of this on my realm during the first round of demolishing.

On a side note, I'm convinced that there's a group of masochist players, considering how loosely they use the term "punished" and "penalized". Either that, or they don't know the term actually means :x

But they can't keep their house unless if they intend to keep playing. And some who didn't return may have been considering returning. I see this as a good thing. Those doing it just to be jerks will likely be very few, and they can only do it once.

I was just stating that it's possible to reset the timer and add another 45 days regardless of whether they intend to keep playing or not. I don't really mind/care if people do this or not.
