Yep, exactlyThat's what I was getting at. The whole awkward situation could be avoided in the first place. I don't see why there should be any negativity towards such a feature. Props to op.
Naoki Yoshida:
Source: http://forum.square-enix.com/ffxiv/threads/113554 at 1:14:22...Similarly, these older MMOs also had a system where your house would break down if you didn’t log in after a while in order to have you continue your subscription, but this is a thing of the past and we won't have any system like that.

GotchaI agree, there's no reason at all this could be problematic or affect anyone in any way.

And I think they'd be against the idea, because you joining, realising it's a trap party, then leaving, can then be used as justification for them to start badmouthing you across the server (actually happened to me, but for a different reason).
White Mage ~ Scholar ~ PaladinBoi if you got kicked for the same thing in over 20 duties I strongly suggest you think hard on whatever the hell it is you're doing
As I'm sure you are well aware, it takes more than one person to be able to kick a player from a duty, so in all those instances there were at least two people agreeing they'd be better off without you tanking.

When ever I don't get along with someone, it motivates me to play my roll to perfection.
That way, if i don't mess up, i can call them out on it. Im very spiteful

Or at least have a confirmation pop up saying "someone on your blacklist in here. Do you still want to join? "
I know, but you just have to know SE philosophy. It's not that I against it. I think it's a good idea. But why they haven't implemented it. When you join duty finder party, all the members are anonymous untill everyone get in. Same guess to everything, you can't even view that player unless you both are not in the same area. Then we have party finder. It's clear that SE trying to keep it private and so that everyone can join regardless of who they are or what they are. Again, I know what you are saying and I'm noy disagreeing here, but trust me on this. It's SE...
well, PF used to show full names of the host, now only the initial. i feel liek this is the opposite direction of what SE would want
