    Local Leves with more syths

I don't know about the rest of you guys but I am not a fan of traveling all over the place just to do a leve that gets me only 2 or 3k sp and not very good items as a reward. Think about local leves in comparison to battle leves. If I do a lvl 1 or lvl 10 battle leve I may only battle 6 - 10 enemies that all give me 300 sp or more. Keep in mind this is doing a leve all by myself and with no gardian aspect in order to have a better comparison to crafting. However it is important to note that you have those 2 options in order to increase the amount of sp you get from battle leves. Now as you go up to lvl 20 leves and more you start battling a lot more then 10 enemies. This means that battle leves give you even in the beggining 3 - 4k sp and as you move through the ranks you can do a leve that gives you 5k sp (or more) from 1 leve. Why can't local leves be like that. Doing level 40 leves at best only give you 7 syths. That is not a lot. I would like to get local leves that start to give you 10 or more syths by the time you get to lvl 20 and as you move up to lvl 30 and 40 you should be getting 15- 20 syths.Tell me what you guys think.

I would rather a Guardian Aspect-ish feature + Party crafting than Local Leves give more synths. More synths = even more tedious to try and get 100, 200 or 300 evaluation.

Totally agreed with the increase of number of synth as you rank up. As many of you may already have noticed that you get less R45+ leves than other lower rank leves, increasing the number of synth isn't too much to ask. Unless, SE only wants to help those mid r20 crafters to quickly catch up to r35.

They don't want you to rank from 1-50 just by doing leves. Invest gil into materials is important part of economy.

Can't compare with DoW leves, because they don't have to make any invest in their free roaming, but crafters do.

I think that local leves are good sp the way they are, personally. They aren't really enough SP if you're only focusing on one class because you're forced to take lower rank leves, but when you are leveling multiple classes, they are quite a big SP boost. The goal is always to take a leve where the items are 5-7 ranks above yourself (If you have the full range of abilities, 7-9 above yourself is actually more ideal). That way you are maximizing your sp gain from leves.

For instance, taking the weaver leves to make canvas cloth at r20 is absolutely ideal if you have hand of the gods, fulfillment and maker's muse.

The biggest disparity between battle and local leves, though, comes from the fact that you can SEE marks gained through battle leves. In the week prior to the shutdown, I did a full round of 8 locals every leve reset in that +7-9 range above me and only managed to get one that gave marks out of forty. By comparision, let's take battle leves - my conjurer is rank 43, currently. If I am working on leveling my thaumaturge primarily, but I still need conjurer marks, I can check the r40 leves in each city every reset specifically targeting the ones that give conjurer marks. Then, I can focus the rest of my leves on sp for the thaum or even target other classes for mark bearing leves.

You can't do that in a crafting class - not only does crafting necessitate a large outlay of money, it takes 10-15x longer to gather the marks needed for ability purchase than a battle class does. In some ways, the skills purchased with crafting marks are more necessary for crafting classes to function than the abilities purchased with battle marks. (There are perhaps five abilities across all battle classes that can even remotely be considered 'necessary').

I donno... ~10k / cycle vs. ~80k / cycle (or whatever; ball park numbers) seems like a pretty big disparity to me.

IMO the amount of synths were fine until they lowered Local leve SP gains. But, If they increase the amount of synths you can do, they should increase the amount of times you are allowed to fail as well. 2 Would be bad on a hard local where you are required to make 16, am I wrong?

I agree, They would have to increase the amount of times you can fail. I also agree with the other people about guild marks but I think that can be remedied by having a reward section of your leve that actually tells you something. Who cares if I am going to get 3 cotton bolls? I want to know if I get guild marks, how much gil I am going to make, and what the reward is if I happen to get the HQ bonus items. You think this information would be available to us but it is not for some reason... The only thing a battle leve is missing is the extra gil you get as a bonus for higher difficulties. I don't really care about knowing that so Local leves are the only ones that need to have the changes.

It's very important to know which craft material reward you will receive for Leather (although I don't think it matters much for any other craft). This is because there is no DoL that can harvest our goods and gigantoad skin drop rates blow.

I agree that we should see more the other rewards too though (guildmarks / gil).
