I would like to do more healing in raids. DPS'ing in dungeons is fine, but in raids I'd rather have more consistent damage or something like needing to manage mana (it's not very difficult right now). However, in order for healers to "heal more," SE would need to change their boss mechanics and healer dynamic.

Bosses work in peaks and valleys (little to no damage for a while, spike on tank, little to no damage, spike on raid, little to no damage, etc), so in all the valleys, both healers DPS. Since the peaks vary, sometimes both healers heal, but most of the time just one is needed. SE would have to make raid damage high enough (or heals low enough) to necessitate 2 healers instead of 1.5, otherwise the meta of 1 healer + SCH fairy will remain; SCH is essentially a full on hybrid class.

I'm not sure about Midas as a whole, but A5S follows the peak/valley/1.5 healer formula; there really aren't that many or that intense healer checks (unless the raid derps). This means more healer DPS.

Sephirot EX is similar; the healing requirements are still quite low, but I think the mechanics of the fight are a bit better. In phase 2, while those Aura debuffs are out all the way up until earth shakers, there is no damage, so it's full on DPS mode for the entire group. However, the time in between those moments has rather consistent damage going out. It still only needs one healer, but the concept is there, at least.
