Noct! I live in Noct unless a SCH is present in full party formations

Diurnal is the superior Sect by far for most situations.
With that being said I prefer to play in Nocturnal since it tends to allow the AST to get around derpy players in random DFs.
I prefer Diurnal; the regen feels like it covers the scenarios better. The barriers just don't have the same feeling as SCH's, although I can recall micromanaging Eos to heal almost immediately after they're put up.
Diurnal for me. My main is SCH so if I want to shield I'll just that. I'll play Noct if I have to though.

I use noct during trash pulls and diurnal for bosses. When paired with a sch I'll be on diurnal, when with a whm it depends, if it's a healing heavy fight I'll stay on diurnal after nocting the party pre-pull, if not I stay noct throughout. I used to prefer diurnal full stop. But I learned a lot and now maining ast, I've come to combine both sects as I see fit. I don't prefer one to the other anymore. I bery comfy with both ^_^
I usually prefer noct for trash since it can heavily negate a lot of damage on the tank, combined with SS and help surviving in most cases.
During bosses I -usually- go for Diurnal since sometimes the damage isn't in a wide area and overall it helps me to keep up everyone more than a rough shield.
But overall, I do prefer noct. I like them shields more than regen.

Diurnal. It has a better potency, making it a technically superior skill, plus I prefer the spell speed boost over the healing potency boost.. Nocturnal is great to put up inbetween trash pulls, or in PvP though.
