Well if they continue to do this for the duration of the games life then at some point players are gonna meet a GM, except for those who don't spend a lot of time in Ul'dah of course (like me)

I seriously hope they stop doing this and simply use quests/cutscenes as a way of telling story and the goings on of the game's world, because this is just the same as locking players out of game content. No one likes players being left out of particular game content, right?
So why is this OK?
However, this wouldn't be so much of a problem if there were quests implemented for these particular scenarios, with GMs popping up here and there as they do, as this would give everyone a chance.
That's a good solution, have a bit of both, that way no one really feels totally left out.I seriously hope they stop doing this and simply use quests/cutscenes as a way of telling story and the goings on of the game's world, because this is just the same as locking players out of game content. I don't understand this? It's just flavouring. How is a GM popping in randomly to chat to people and *gather information, not give it out* even remotely as difficult as implementing quests and cutscenes?I seriously hope they stop doing this and simply use quests/cutscenes as a way of telling story and the goings on of the game's world, because this is just the same as locking players out of game content. This is going to just be the community team, not the developers. They aren't even remotely related in terms of development, the ultimate result will just be more lodestone 'reports' where 'Kipih' (sp?) relays the rumours people have been saying again.
No one really gains anything from this other than a little bit of fun, nothing major. People will complain about anything, really.
Keep it up GMs, it's interesting to read about and reassuring that they're having a much more hands on approach to interacting with the community than other games.
