You say this like it\\'s a crime to be new to a duty. And well, is it so hard for someone who knows the duty to say two or three sentences about mechanics?

I'm afraid, that is the case with some players Flue.. It's not a crime to be new, but there are many things that could be done in order to prevent drama from happening. It's not so much about some low level dungeons, but once you progress into a game, new dungeobs you run will scale and eventually require some serious skills. It's not so rare that people would react differently... I personally don't mind helping, but if there is anything you could do to help yourself or people, that would be to research before jumping into something. I'm a returning player, still catching up. But I was told I'm doing better than 70% veterans. It surely feels good, I just did some research.

So what do you do when the content just come out and there is no videos and no way to really research? What do you do then?

You know what can be done? Players just stopping for a second when the dungeon starts to see if everyone is good to go and knows what to do. I will always explain what needs to be done, never redirect to a YT channel because I can give first-hand advice. The entire group ignoring the fact that there was a new guy, is not the new guy's fault. Many a time was I a first-timer and got advice and strat explained from my fellow teammates and I never had any trouble. The problem is if a player (be it old or new, I've seen both) does not try. Also tanks raging like this guy had it, I've seen it too, only that time we dismissed the tank without him leaving because he was ruining it for everyone else. The dungeons are not difficult or hard. It may sound funny, but sometimes the group just doesn't work out. Also, when 3.2 hit, I was disappointed by how easy the dungeons were. And I won't even comment on your empty boast at the end because it sickens me.

I am emetophobic ( fear of vomit ) and I have this really bad thing to where my mind instantly relates something it sees to taste, touch, texture and smell instantly. Some people will probably think it's silly that a phobia can arise in-game but it certainly can. It's nice to see someone who's understanding about it!

I totally understand you, I had to look away when someone would be throwing up on a series or anything of the sort. And even in games it'd get really nasty. I am not a sympathy puker, I just get a panic attack when someone is ill because I have really bad memories of people being reaaaally ill. So it's just an irrational fear. I have been working on it though, reassuring myself it is only a relief.. I mean, at one point dragons breathing fire would make me upset. But now I managed to somehow calm myself down. I can actually think/write about it without getting upset woo!

Honestly, it was the first I've heard of it, so it took a little bit of time to register, but that's the thing, you're all a team. I'd rather do my best to help someone through it with their difficulties and challenges (I have my own in this game), and try and work with them. The fact you're able to pull through and beat it is an achievement. It might not look like an achievement to others, but when you have those extra barriers behind you, it is. And if I had someone like that in my static I'd try my best to work with them and help them through it. FF14 pulls in players from all walks of life, let's all help each other. I'll certainly always try to do my bit to help others.

I think "M3 in progress...." and "...50 minutes later..." says a lot about the run?

We wiped multiple times. Twice we got the boss to 1% then healers died, people went to jail, and we wiped again. I think the worst part was five of them were in TS together and it was still coordinated very poorly. I'm used to running this with my team and even then wipes happen but about an hour on just M3 was frustrating and exhausting.

Reminds me of my M1 yesterday, 3 wipes on faust, 4 on boss. I was letting the other healer coordinate, since she seemed to be in chat with most of the team. It was bad, at one point I was just like, I have not seen wipes this bad here. To which a few responded it was the norm. Maybe they were the reason.

I rarely wipe in the Midas turns, but then, I rarely run without at least two people from my FC and we know our jobs and communicate mechanics. But even the ones I ran that had a lot of PUG people were going well for the most part; people were touching base on mechanics that they'd learned, etc.

The worst run I ever had was one mostly DF group that couldn't get past Uberfaust in M1. And another mostly DF group that kept wiping due to low dps on adds in M4.

I think you have to understand that I'm not forcing anyone to watch a video. If people here don't want that, then they should expect whatever it's coming for them, that's just what I'm saying. Because let's be honest, your question is just silly.. I get a feeling like, you are sorta attacking me. Because you asking me obvious question. There is nothing you can do about a content that is entirely unknown (very new). But to learn from the scratch. I'm not one of the people who ignore chat message or angry all the time. So I'll take my time to explain people, but you see. Everyone is different.

Tbh, I find the blind runs when the content is new to be smoother than the later ones with a couple new blind people. When it's brand new, people seem to be watching for mechanics actively, so they can react to them. Later, it's kind of like "Oh these guys will make up for my screw ups, so whatever."
