Please Remove the Materia Melding Crafter Restriction

I'm also playing an mmorpg, a game where I'm supposed to interact with other people when I can't do certain things all by myself.

If you don't like it, if you don't like to "lose time" talking with other players, you can always play a single player game. Or level a crafter : )

I'll just reiterate what I said in the other thread. Please don't try and take away one of the only DIRECT interactions crafters have with the community at large. Outside of being asked to craft prisims/weapons/leveling gear for FC members and the like, there's not much interaction between crafters and those who focus on PvE/Raids/PvP.

I'm pretty sure one of the main reasons that crating is required to meld is to keep us all communicating with each other, this is an MMO after all, and maybe you'll make a nice crafter friend who will cut you a deal when you need a tough craft. ;3

Eh, I interact with people frequently. Not sure how the following scenario really adds to the social aspect of the game.

FC(me): Hey can someone meld this gear for me?
FC(crafter):Sure, meet at the house.
FC(Me):Great thanks!
right click, request meld.

I see bunch of crafters crying how this would simply ruin the game. Get over yourselves. I tried crafting and absolutely hate it. My playtime is limited enough as it is and I don't need to be spending hours on hours grinding out something completely unenjoyable to me. Let's add, you don't even have to be ON your crafter to meld or repair. This is simply about convenience. If that makes you seem that it would somehow ruin the game I think you'll find 2 camps here: those who live to craft and don't want ANYTHING taken from them....and those who abhor crafting that just want to socket their materia and get on with playing the game.

Before 3.2 crafter only really did melda for endgame raiders, honestly they couldn't care less about melding. I once asked for a meld and a crafter said: "Wha?" "Oh, sorry. Been awhile since I did one...get me the catalyst."

Now suddenly removing melding is the end of all crafting.
All crafters only endured the grind so they could meld.
It was definitely NOT to make strong gear, forge glamour gear, and be able to create Glamour Prisms.
(Cause making Glamour Prisms[which are illusions...and should be considered magic & should be made by Mages not crafters] must be hard.)

Why dont make an option where you can send a retainer with the materiales and money for the melding and post it un the marketing board for crafters to acceso and make the work, after that you can take your ítem with materia woth the retainer again

You know: I'm not an idiot. Quit assuming that people somehow are completely unaware that they can shout/ask for help. I have a FC also. There are crafters in that FC. I can get the melds for free whenever I want. I just don't like bothering my friends for something as inconsequential as a meld. You are full of assumptions and you know what they say about people who assume?

Let me reiterate, this request is simply about convenience, nothing more. The fact that so many players are getting bent out of shape over such a simple and inconsequential game mechanic request shows just how unreasonable certain people are.

Back in the days when i110 crafter gear was relevant when overmeld i used to always ask the same weaver for my melds.

Friend listed, emotes, chatting , and a couple of melds later he was my official crafter, cheaper than the MB prices by a fair margin.
