So, I'm reading, as someone who farmed a lot, but not enough, you want more without working for them again. But, despite our situations being almost identical, I spent more time farming for extras, and I'm the selfish for one for asking that they be added again as a quest instead of no extra effort involved?
We're obviously both speaking from our own point of view, but let me ask you, did you read my suggestion as to how I wished for an implementation? Who, exactly, would lose out if it was added as a quest? People who have some still would have to work for more, people who never got it previously would have a chance to get it, and people who didn't get enough previously could work for more. It seems quite fair, to me. But who would lose out if it was given as a calamity salvager item, for sale, as you suggest? Everyone who worked for extras would have wasted their time, everyone who wasn't there for the event would still be lacking the item, and the only people who would benefit are those who farmed some but not enough. Like you.
I don't mind you getting upset or calling me selfish since I all-but called you out in my original post. I almost replied to you in it, because part of the post was addressing you. But, while I've seen you post enough to know that trying to see things from a view other than your own isn't exactly your strong suit, I hope that it's pretty obvious that only one of the three suggestions in this topic(Mogstation, Calamity Salvager, reintroduce quest) is taking an approach that gives favoritism or benefit to no one, and puts us all on equal ground.
Though I do understand why you wouldn't like that suggestion, because as someone who also farmed a considerable number of trees, I really have no desire to go through that horrendous grind again. However, if the quest did come out again, I still would, because they're a great furnishing, highly in demand, and I have friends that would like some. Plus, I would like to see the many people who have been complaining for a while about the trees to have a chance to get them, and not just those of us who were playing and participated the last time.
Finally, before you try and backpedal, I'd like to take a moment to quote you.
The moment you said that, I disagreed with you. If you want to amend the statement to imply that you're fine with new people getting it as well, then go ahead, and I wouldn't resent such an idea. However, don't you dare have the audacity to call me selfish when you propose a plan that neglects the entire new user base or people who weren't subscribed for a couple of week period because I want to offer a fair alternative that gives us exactly what we all had before.Originally Posted by Syrehn
