[spoiler] about story in Alex Midas 4

I don't understand why do we have to run away from that illuminati Goblin? He come only with a few winged goblin which we could have easily beaten him... I thought that would be a great chance to finish all this. Instead of competing who would collect fragments, who would turn off the core, who would get Alex first. Why not we just take their head, their leader off? I am so curious about this part of story... Are they that strong? we already beaten all the Alex dungeon ourselves!

Oh and btw. those robots we fought in Alex dungeon, are they supposed to be at Goblin side? seem we are the only one fighting them, and internal of Alex are full of Goblin, similar to that of Goblin nest. I wonder if Alexander welcome them, so they never have to deal with internal guardians and act as their own home?

The Doylist Reason? They still have to get the 3rd hardcore raid out.
Watsonian Reason? they have Roundrox hostage, comatose and in a state that eerily matches the descriptions of the Meracydiian dragons in Dalamud and The treelike beings that Krile and Unukahai mentioned after we slayed Sephirot. Even if we offed Quickthinx, there is a possibility that only he knows the way to wake her up. So Roundroxs torpor might be eternal is we killed the Illuminati's head right then and there.

Killing him would have resulted in retaliation - Roundrox's death, in other words. I also feel like it's worth pointing out that Alexander is a very lighthearted raid in many ways. That's not necessarily a bad thing, mind you, since I enjoy the aesthetics and music quite a bit. I may be wrong but I get the impression that it isn't trying to take itself too seriously - especially given that the main antagonists are Goblins and we're accompanied by Cid, Biggs and Wedge...all of whom aren't exactly the sharpest tools in the shed when they're together on screen.

I'm just glad that - for the time being - we didn't see Cid resort to yet another convenient plot device to save the day. Hopefully they'll let Mide, if anyone, do that so that the awful guy doesn't overshadow her.

Given the reveal of what Alexander's powers actually are and the fact the Illuminati seem to have possessed that prophetic diary PRIOR to activating Alexander's time traveling capabilities I think it's pretty likely the plot device to wrap all this up will be a bootstrap paradox.

Several reasons, which become clear after the scene, but in a word: yes.

It may have been a possibility that we try to kill Quickthinx, I even thought he was dead at A7! But more than that: Quickthinkx and illuminati goblins showed up knowing the outcome beforehand. In a mexican standoff like what we had (And biggs, wedge, and roundrox as noncombatants) that is a huge advantage. Your intentions and success were known to Quickthinx beforehand. If you truly could kill him then, he also would have known of it. Whether it is gobbie bs or truly part of Alex's power. Quickthinx went from foiled to successful without even firing a shot.

Also, either Alex is being controlled, or Alex is controlling, the goblins. So the robot creation within are likely working together through seeing one or the other as intended users.
