1) No one said they should be grateful to have their work stolen.. People said at best, that they should be grateful it pays homage to the past, at best. People have made it very clear they do not feel like it is a ripoff. The fact that you and the band used that terminology - "Theft" - is the big part of the issue. No one said stealing is ok. 2) Even if Powerman 5000 does think it's theft; there are more mature ways to go about it. They basically went about it like a child, shouting and crying that the big bad bully came and took their toy. In reality, he just pulled a toy from the toybox and appearantly the child thought all of them belonged to him.

You say that the personal digs are immature, but I do not see either side (Especially with how you defend them) to be completely innocent in this.
