    IF this does go to court and Powerman 5000/who ever owns Intellectual Properties to the "When Worlds Collide" does wins, SE could opt to keep the song but then they would have to pay royalties to continue using it, IF permission is given.

    The same line is made between protecting your artistic integrity and being petty.

    Needless to say, it's Powerman 5000 that lost a fan in me, not SE. Art and expression is something I have always viewed to be shared, derived and provide inspiration for the next generation. This song is a continuation of, honestly, many musical queues from music of that time, not just Powerman 5000 who has a very similar lead riff.

    As said before and all over FFXIV and even PWM5k's media, they're the first band in a long line of inspirations to FF music to ever complain and slander like this. I doubt this sort of claim would hold up in court even if there is a case, which... honestly I don't think there will be.
